Haha that's funny. I was thinking what the hell is a bolt on LS1 doing racing ported cobras from a roll. Traction means everything when it's cold. I had a pretty much stock RT Magnum take me up until about 80 in my full bolt on C5 the other day. Then I flew by him like he was standing still, but I'm sure he told everyone he beat me. I spun all the way through first and second (40* outside) and he just dead hooked haha.
By bolt on meaning a BIG shot? lol..... or a different motor all together lol.
Somethings not right.... I'd give him the initial hit because the cobras are spinning but ANY ported/pullied cobra making 500+ will pull the shit out of a bolt on t/a up top even if they spin there ass off.

well what was the T/A racing at the end? he still pulled..
that car is badass o hes got more than 351.
That last race is against me. His car is nasty for what it is too. No nitrous! both cobras were coming back hard up top. hes on et street radials vs both of them on shitty street tires
ive been meaning to join this sight here for a while to post videos etc etc...i made the vid and of course know the guys who own the cars, indeed the cobras are pretty quick both dyno'ing at about 500 ported and pullied. The TA did dyno i believe 351 hp and like 398 tq or something pretty rediculous for a bolt on car. It is only headers and a lid, no nitrous, stock rear end, stock gears. But like SRT4 said earlier in the thread it was a run what you brung race and he had some good tires on that night
I called it, you could see him stick and go while the cobras were just spinning. Traction wins races, especially in the cold. Don't call bs because the car with more power lost. It makes complete sense in this case.
The TA was a good driver but traction is everything but a pullied or ported Cobra would yank the shit out of a bolt on ls-1 with the right driver. My brother has a full bolt on 99 TA m6 makes 362rwhp N/A and I put buslengths on him N/A it is a very good race when he sprays a 100 shot (451rwhp-490rwtq) but I still edge him out. The Cobras need tires or drivers and the 98 with the swap should be real fast cuz they are lighter than 03/04 Cobras. Good vid and music though.
nice kills. exactly why I love street racing. with the right set up you can win a lot of races. Just curious how the TA runs with cars with traction? or track times. I make 362 on motor and barely pulled a stock cobra and my brothers pullied cobra put buses on me on motor.

99 TA - bolt ons
Tires are one thing, but it looked like the WS6 got the jump both races too. And if the Cobra's aren't shifting their greatest, it'll take a few (long) seconds for them to catch back up.
I want to call BS as much as the next guy, but anything can happen, whether it's the strip or the street. I hate coming into threads like this where people rant all day long about how it's BS, or the other guy wasn't racing. Nobody drive's perfect 100% of the time. NO ONE. It IS possible to lose to a slower car, if given the proper circumstances. I've beaten cars that I shouldn't have been able to beat, and I've lost to cars that I shouldn't have lost to. Just luck of the draw really.
And I'm pretty sure everyone, including the OP, knows the Cobra's are faster than the WS6. That is unless he really IS lying about his mods. Haha
