Well, besides that.

Cobra's have a very hard clutch, and the Trans is fairly stiff(if that is the word to describe it) The average joe can't powershift a cobra. Even poeple with experience can't bang gears in a Cobra uber fast. Some can, some can't.

I mean that previous statement with no disrespect. They are two completely different cars.

Maybe for you. Its about timing more than anything. Clutch type and tranny may have a tiny bit to do about it but its all the same concept. Any average joe w/more than 5 min of shifting fast can power shift a cobra.

Just a little off topic. Have you ever driven a Cobra before? If so, are you able to powershift it?

Here is a video that I shot of my buddies ported 03 Cobra and pullied 08 GT500. They are both members on here but not sure of their names. The Cobra driver is a pretty good shifter.

I have drove quite a few different Mustangs and none of them have been difficult to get through the gears. I have drove several GT's(supercharged, nitrous and N/A) and used to own a 2003 Cobra. I could power shift it with the stock shifter and clutch just like any other Mustang. 3rd gear was a bi** at times, but thats about it.

All depends on the car.

My z06 with a short throw b&m ripper on it with a spec twin disk is about as easy to shift as it is to push a tank around.

I would love to see someone powershift 3rd gear with that setup in my car. By the time you got in into 3rd the motor would be in pieces i can gurantee that. I few cobra members on here have felt that set up in my car and about shit there pants.

I have since switched to an mgw.

Fair enough.

I was just agreeing with the guy that said it's a Neon.

Don't neon's have Hydraulic clutches compared to a Cobra's cable clutch?

That is talking apples to oranges.

Maybe the people here are amazing, and everyone can powershift a Cobra. I guess I must be ******* retarded if I can't after 6 months of daily driving one.

Yes, third gear is a bitch. lol

3rd gear made me its bitch a few times in the Cobra. My 02 GT has a MGW and its almost impossible to miss 3rd now. I would get a video of me, but the OP only wants 03/04 Cobras. Thats and its been raining for almost a week straight here and the roads are nasty.

damn theres some good shifting in here. when u post let us kno alil more about ur setup and how ur doing it. in my video im using stock trans with a stage 4 clutch and i am using the clutch when i shift. in some of these vids it sounds like the clutch is left at the start and an its just stright gear mashing from there on lol.

And this matters how??? I had no problem powershifting my Talon with a stock shifter and hydraulic setup and then hopping in my Mustang with a RAM HD clutch, cable setup, a 3550 and powershifting.
