than a lambo yeah its badass, but a lambo?? dude, have you seen those things on the street? i like the GT more b/c its american, cheaper, and its mod friendly as hel, but more of a head turner than a lambo
I dunno, I have seen Diablos, Gallardo's and Murci's on the street and none have ever grabbed my attention like a GT. The Diablo catches your eye more than the two newer Lambos.

Turbos sounded badass on the Lambo, shift after shift, the GT ran good if there really is that much of a disparity in power between the two! Hell if thats just a whipple GT running that close to to a TT Murci, that says alotttttttttttt about the GT

The GT was built off an iconic symbol and it lives up to the original as being an instant classic, especially in design. The Murc on the other hand was built to be just another exotic for the masses. That's the main difference between the two hence all the love for the GT.

If the GT did make 850whp than the outcome does make sense cause depending on the year of Murc there is anywhere from a 300-700lb difference between the two cars. A 1000whp GT will walk a 1000hp Murc.
Speedo is off a bit from what I've read. Different rear gear set.

If the Ford GT is a supercar and such a great value and the most under-rated car out right now why do they get destroyed by C6-Z06's and not even in any of the same category's as a C6 Zr1 which are both not supercars and cost $30,000 to 50,000 less. Zr1 $100,000 Z06 75,000-80,000 Ford GT $130,000-220,000 used ones are still $110,000+

Ford GT's are over-rated every has there own opinion and thats mine i think there slick looking but they only run high 11's or low 12 from the factory a Zr1 runs 10's off the showroom floor thats a Supercar. My Mach1 with light boltons and 100shot ran high 11's. Im not that impressed, my Mach had 150 rwhp less than a stock Ford GT
Ummm, the Mercielago's curb weight is 3600lbs. Ford GT curb weight is 3400lbs.
+1 they always seem to exagerate when the SVT car looses badly. Don't race a Lambo if you dont know whats under the hood or trunk for that matter. Why are people so sensative about Ford GT's like there the best things on the planet. There nice but not even close to plenty of cars over sea's

Wow. Where to start?.....
1) The vast majority of everyone in this thread agrees that you are a complete moron in regards to the subject matter.
2) There is more to a car than 1/4 mile performance. Would you rather have your 11 second Mach 1 or a rusted out Pacer that looks like it hit everything but the lottery and runs 8's? Get it?
3) A Vette, no matter if its a C6, a C6 Z06 or even the God-Like ZR1......is still a Vette. One of 4 billion produced each year.
4) If any type of Vette was better than a Ford GT, then the market values would dictate such. Vettes would be selling for more than GT's because they were a much better car. Who in their right mind would buy a GT for more $$$ when a plastic Vette is "better?"

as you can see from this test conducted on a Lambo Murci on a airport runway they are very slow in terms of 1 mile top speed shootouts and outright top speed. the Lambo Murci in this test could only manage a best of 171.6 mph in the mile at a sea level track with ideal conditions. in fact it could only reach a top speed of 190.1 mph in 2 miles. i hit 200 mph on GPS with my bone stock Ford GT in 2 miles from a dead stop at 1,300 feet above sea level. i also hit 175 mph in 1 mile from a dead stop at 1,300 feet above sea level. throw a few turns into that race and the Ford GT will beat the Lambo Murci even worse as the Lambo Murci is 600 lbs heavier than a Ford GT. Lambo Murci's do come alive though when you modify them; just not as much as a Ford GT
It's a shame everytime there is a race vid it turns into a pissing match. As for the over rated comment well, that is your opinion and I won't even comment.
As for the popularity of the cars, I rarely see a Ford Gt on the street & if I do it is the same car. I see more Ferraris, Lamboghinis than Ford Gt's. Vettes are a dime a dozen as are Porsches. I would take any of them and probally the only car I can see myself owning in the future would be a c6 Z-06. Why cause they are dropping in value here in Canada.
