A roll cage is actually safety equipment in the event of a wreck, a wheelie bar offers no protection from anything but wheelies. If you're gonna wreck on a bike, the only protection you have is the clothes you are wearing!

We have a local with a 600hp Busa, and his runs look exactly the same when he goes down the track. Power wheelies all the way into 4th and still pulls 170+mph traps.
