I'm sure the "plastic" on the rear he pointed out is at least fiberglass if not carbon fiber like the majority of the ZR1's body.

Probably SMC.
To meet bumper crash standards (3-5mph?? with no damage), there needs to be some flex. Either that, or afix some sort of bumper, which would look stupid.

I think he owns a Ford GT as well. Everyone criticizes him for being overcritical but he should be if a company is going to sell a car for 100k+

carbon fiber doesnt flex. Its probably some plastic material.
