Was'nt expecting that till I saw the ta was on 10#'s. I don't understand why you would run with the boost so low. A built 370 can use more than a 76. Givin turbo ta's a bad name.

I'm pretty sure he's waiting on a fuel system upgrade if I remember what I overheard them say while I was taping both cars. We just met him last night but I guess rudy had been wanting to race the cobra for a while so jumped at the opportunity. That and he's switching out the 2.73 rear end for a 3.55 9" sometime soon

There is no reason that TA is not pushing 750rwhp with a built motor and a 76mm turbo. Way to represent FI LSX's I would be ashamed to be beaten like that with a turbo LSX

My guess is both cars are making close to 650rwhp. With the iron block and turbo kit the TA probably weighs the same as the Cobra. The 3:55 gear + instant power from the PD blower gave him the win. I don't know why he has 2:73s with a T56, he would have had to gone out of his way to had that gear installed as it doesn't come standard. Even if he was worried about breaking shit anything less than a 3:15 gear is really going to turn the car into a slouch...

Edit: I just realized he may have gotten a 10bolt out of a stock automatic fbody which come with 2:73s stock. I'm not sure though, I don't know his car.

It all depends on how far you go with it. A stocl LQ4 with nothing more then 15# will put a F body close to the nines. Im in the middle of building one for my son so we will see how far a stock $500 junk yard motor will go. I say mid nines @140.

The KB Cobra was awesome and moved out and the Turbo T/A is real sweet also. That T/A needs more boost, if i had a build motor it would have got all it could handle

The Stock lq4 truck motors are very stout. A GTO has gone low10's or better and dynoed btw 750-800rwhp on a junkyard LQ4 motor. They have the same crank and rods as the LS1 but have dished pistons and lower compression heads due to the increase in combustion chamber size. That is more power than I would push through the stock shortblock but it has been done. I was going to do one in my f-body with the Incon twin GT30's I had but I lost interest and bought the Cobra.
