great info big red thanks a lot man! what about headers? are they worth it on this particular motor? i just think a cam with the truck being murdered out would be sinister. labor wouldn't cost anything and could be done at my shop. much cheaper than expected. i may pm u in the future for some more info and thanks again.
I would do headers as well with the cam. On my f-body with stock heads I gained 80 rwhp with my cam and a set of LT's. Shoot me a pm anytime bud, I would be glad to help you out. I was thinking about selling the Cobra to get back into an LSX vehicle particularly a C6 vette but I think In the spring I am just going to find another low mile Pewter SS to join it. I love both cars too much to choose.

that thing has too have more mods than that guys? come on. i love vettes and camaro's but seriously no ****ing way he walked him that hard with heads, cams and gear. i'am not one of those who thinks cobra's are unbeatable as well.
I was thinking the same thing.
here is a vid with comparable cars to that vid. H/C ls1 w/ 4.10's (made 453/430) and my ported eaton at 15psi/4.10's/lt's
I have seen your other vids, your car moves out for sure. The 4.10's def help you as well. You are prob making similiar HP to that KB car with more trq and less weight as you have a solid axle swap
very impressive lstruck03! ur car sounds great. what muffler setup would u run on it big reg and keep in mind i want a single side exit exhaust if that matters? i don't think it would sound good with a flowmaster. what particular block is it? what was the one guy saying about good luck making them fit?
that camaro with just heads/cams is only around 425whp
Unless you know him personally, that is a pretty bold claim. There are plenty of cam only cars over 420rwhp nowadays. H/C #'s vary dramatically. My cousin only made 400 on the dot with a 220/220 cam and a set of TEA heads on his Formula. I made a tad more cam only with a 233/239. People use cams as big as 244/248 with almost .650 lift on these cars now. Cam and valve spring technology has come a long way in the LSX world. There are several H/C cars in the 470-475 range and extreme setups have hit just under 500 rwhp on stock shortblocks NA. This car probably has a fast 90/92 setup as well as most at this level do.

I run Kooks longtubes, kooks o/r x and dumped steeda (borla's)

You mean there are quite a few people over 500rwhp on the stock shortblock, right? Not crazy radical setups either. Just very well put together PACKAGES. And you do realize that ported stock castings can and will do just as good and most of the time, better than out of the box AFR/TFS heads, right?
With todays cylinder heads, lobe technology and the FAST intake, its not very uncommon for a well put together package on an LSX to make 480+ rwhp with stock cubes. Also, lets consider the fact that the Cobra is a little heavier and that its carrying the passenger. For all we know, the SS is empty and the camera man is a fat pig? And being that they went from a roll and the SS having 4.30 gears, he most definitely started in 3rd gear and hit the rev limiter in 4th. Didn't miss a shift, was just out of gear.

Hey guys. That is me in my car. The cobra is putting down 555rwhp 500rwtq. My car is putting down 434rwhp 396rwtq. I did not use the nitrous on that run. The run was from 60mph to just over 120mph
Here is the other run from that night.... 40 to 120mph
Sorry for the double video post, not sure why it did that! Oh well. The key to my win's are Gears, Weight & Aero. The only weight reduction i have is removed the spare and jack

You knew that was comming your on a Mustang website and nothing can beat a "Terminator" but most just don't get it. I saw a 2006 C6 Z06 with a cam, full exhaust walk a Whipped Cobra with a 75 shot puttin down 706 to the wheels. GM's are badass when built. There so simple "heads, cam, full exhaust, gears and a tune" and they flatout fly
something just doesn't add up. A Cobra with 120rwhp advantage shouldn't get walked like that; that race wasn't even close. Terminators aren't THAT much heavier than an f-body.
