with almost .650 lift on these cars now. Cam and valve spring technology has come a long way in the LSX world. There are several H/C cars in the 470-475 range and extreme setups have hit just under 500 rwhp on stock shortblocks NA. This car probably has a fast 90/92 setup as well as most at this level do.
True, my cam specs are 232/234 .647/.612 114lsa
I am not running a Fast 92/92 setup (i want one!) though, running my stock LS6 intake
good running camaro. maybe my pullied cobra just runs really good but i dont have a problem staying with/beating H/C/I full bolt-on ls1s. my cobra would murder my old camaro on the motor
That is a strong running Camaro but I was not expecting the KB to lose. IMO, they needed to race more - from a dig and roll with the camera man switching cars etc. for this to be definitive. But, on that particular short race the LS1 was winning.
I agree that the camaro is pretty damn stout, and I also agree the Cobra is a bit weak. Im starting to doubt its a KB too.. but only from personal experience with cam or head/cam ls1's.

Not all cars or drivers for that matter, are equal. I'm sure living in Texas you're bound to run into an LSX that will change that experience. One thing you have to understand is most LSX owners are cheap and like to use cheap ass parts (TSP). They make decent PEAK numbers but their power band itself is lazy and weak sauce.
After watching your video you posted, your car moves out man! You row gears pretty well

i was the camera man by the way, yall need to understand that redmetal is an AWESOME driver to say the least, he can really bang the gears, nathan the cobra owner lives out of town and that was the first time he was back and able to drive his car in about a year, so he was alittle rusty with the gears. i weigh 190 added to the 400+ lb difference between the two cars. i wanted to swap cars as i was suprised at the outcome also, but we didn't have enough time to do so. it is indeed a 2.6 KB as i installed it myself, the tune is not where it should be, it was just a tune to get the car running until RWTD had time to put it on the dyno to dial it in. it did make 553/488 in current form. just haven't had time to get a tune on it. not taking away anything from redmetal as his car is very fast for what it is, him and his car is one of those LSx owners that will make you "recognize"!!!!!

And I love how all the Chevy fanboys get on an SVT site, and try to prove something by all these stupid posts. But then there is always some kind of stupid excuse when a vid is shown where a cobra or other mustang beats the "all-mighty and unbeatable" corvette
