That would be amazing in the 1/4 mile. I would shorten that shifter though.
Why? Did you notice the distance he had to move his hand to go from steering wheel to shifter? There's no short throw mod for back n' forth.

Its that long for 2 important reasons. The distance of the shifter to the steering wheel, and for the leverage a longer shifter provides when pulling down or pushing up. It takes a surprising amount of force to select the gears, and a longer shifter will give more leverage to make the shift easier.

Umm yeah, my buddy has the paddle shift on his 07 C6 with the LS2 edit to take the lag out between shifts. Every gear hits hard and it sounds just like that Z06 (with out the nosiy tranny) did but, it's not as fast as that Z06.

How long do you thing this trans would last in standard everyday driving? Like in high heat and stop and go? Either way, that is one bad-ass Z06!!
