nice kill. but throw $6k in to a LS motor and it is expected to put a ass kicking on a intake and exhuast Cobra. Hate to be the "Cobra Owner" mentality but throw that much money in to any 03/04 CObra and see what the results are. isnt that LMS package just heads/cams/intake/chip for somthing like $6700?

Probably not a Cobra. maybe a GT with a Cobra hood and front bumper. I do like the new Camaros though. Not saying the Camaro wouldn't win with Slayer Package but by that much. Really!

For less than 6K a Cobra is capable of making well north of 600RWHP on pump gas.

Driver mod missing in the cobra. If the camaro is a 12.0 car, then the cobra was no better than a mid-high 13 car at best with that driver.

Actually its a bolt-on cam only car, stock heads. LMR's H/C package puts down over 500.

Yeah that's understandable, but if we're talking parts cost like you are then the camaro has a 350 dollar cam, 350 dollar lifters and springs, and 1000 dollar exhaust setup. So if you do the cam swap yourself and pay for a 350 dollar dyno tune your looking at around 2000 dollars. Pretty good IMO.

I don't mean to quote everybody, but he said his denali is a 12.0 truck. So I'd bet it's safe to say the camaro is a little faster than 12.0.

Dude it's a Cobra, you can hear the distinct faint whine of a stock pulley Cobra.

In a car that's 300lbs lighter!

haha, I agree, you can build any car for really cheap if you start pricing out parts on the net. Most people end up spending way more than planned, but if you truly did a budget build I'd say Stiegemeier's 500rwhp package would give you the most bang for your buck and you would have that power in a way lighter car.

That will get you to 500 RWHP

Anyways, it's a good kill for this Camaro, I already see this turning into a, "which platform is superior" discussion. I think all this hate is retaliation for all the hate brought upon the GT500 now that GM released the Camaro that's just as heavy without a blower or forged motor.

Ok, then if that is a 12 second truck, then the Cobra is only good for mid to high 13's with that driver. With a CAI and tune it should be running low 12's all day long.

Well, 1,000 for supporting mods and N20 and you have a 600 rwhp cobra with stock blower.

This thread is already ruined. Why cant people give props where props can be given? Yes we all know how great and inexpensive the 03/04 platform is. Geez people give it a damn break already.

the slayer package looks even worse with the stripes, or is that factory?

150 wet shot would create well over 700ft/lbs on a eaton Cobra.

Here is with a 60 shot making 703rwtq.
