The supra conundrum is just that......the car has a perfect blend of aero, gearing, trans that holds, a engine that can make power, and relatively low weight.
Vipers have trans and aero issues, so far.
Vettes have trans issues and really haven't had many entrants anyway.
Porsche enthusiast's have stepped up recently and could do well with a car hitting 233 last year.
Enough with the bench racing it would take a hell of a car to beat SW and a balls of steel driver to boot. I don't think he will lose the title, personally, in fact I think Supras will hold the top 2 spots if not 3 this year even with all of the new hp coming to play.
I know in the vette world some of the higher hp TT Vettes have said they are not putting cages in their street cars since that will be a new rule this year. So, I doubt you will see much from the Vette camp yet again.
Should be great I would love to go and just run the car.

100 percent STUPID to put that turbo on that car unless they plan on 2300 + rwhp because i can tell you right now as someone who has personaly had that turbo and made 2500 horsepower with it.. they could easily make 2000 rwhp with a 101 mm or 106 mm turbo and have a ton faster spool time.
i had 434 cubic inches to spool that turbo and it was still laggy.

You do know that the cars start from 0 when competing in a standing mile dont you ?
And i know that a Saleen S7 TT is very powerful but unless its heavily modified i dont see it standing a chance in a standing mile against the cars that are competing there. For example i think a Bugatti Veyron does 204 mph in a standing mile. And the top three cars have all gone over 240+mph

This was in your original post
"A total of eight cars including a 1400rwhp Gallardo, 1200RWHP FGT, 1300+RWHP Porsche, a 1300+rwhp Viper , 1300+whp Supra and a couple of others. The racers would do a rolling speed start (40-75mph) to the quarter mile marker at which they would go WOT until the 3/4 mile marker. Seven cars would be eliminated until one Forum King would be determined. This would be a TV event and the new name of the show is 'Now Back It Up' "
^^^ You got more pics? Or a thread or something? Anything? Would love to see more

yeah i know , you forgot too quote this as well "And for an added bonus Forumwars will shoot their show/race at the texas mile. They are still looking for a fast Corvette/F-body to represent"
That is just an extra race between forums too see who will be crowned king.
Each forum got too choose two 'Top Dogs' Viperalley, Supraforums, Ferrarichat, Lambopower, EvolutionM, Rennlist and or 6speedonline and FordGTforum, ls1tech etc to compete for their community to be crowned King. Not all of them have found people too race.
And one of the Supra which competes for Supraforums is the ABM Big Red Supra which went 243 mph in the last texas mile and will also compete in the standing mile.

Complete ignorance at it's finest. Here in the DFW area, we've got some of the fastest street cars in the country that come out to weekly GTG's and meets. To see a TT GT is not uncommon at all and lots of TT Vipers. If you're not making 800rw in DFW, you aren't even competitive. As for useable, they are very useable, we see it all the time. To see a car like that in action is a site to behold.
Btw, the Texas Mile event, is a standing mile race, not a "roll race". It's much more difficult than you think to go 200mph in a mile. Lots of guys get their hearts broken every event because they think since they can pull a crazy MPH on the street with unlimited distance, they should be able to do it at the Mile - WRONG. The Mile is like any other race event, takes skill and the right combo to put a car together to run with the big dogs.
I was reading on 6speedonline that SW was having UGR build him a TT Gallardo, perhaps they will have that car out as well. That guy has such an amazing collection of cars.
He's a member on SVTP and a good friend of mine. Goes by "Foofinator" (Jeremy) Built 302 stroker/ 3.4 Whipple car. SHreddin his belt and went 192mph. This year he is going back to hopefully break the Terminator twinscrew only record.
What about Dan Shoeneck's (sp?) GT with the Procharger on it? Isn't he doing that for the Texas Mile? Out of all the modded GTs I've seen I think his has the best chance since he's gone above and beyond what anyone else has to make the car compatible for the mile.
