I watched them while they assembled one of the cars from afar. I saw a bunch of rusted frames sitting outside too. Between seeing that and the cars upclose, I wouldn't pay more than 30K for one, honestly. They look so damn cheap its pitiful.
in development doesn't mean it's actually going to happen.
I doubt that they have enough money for it

You can't quantify a linear increase in speed to a linear increase in horsepower easily. I didn't check the site but did it state how long it would take to reach such speed. Either way, it takes an exponential increase in HP to reach given speeds, not taking into account variances in weight, downforce, cd, traction, etc. I think the supras in the monster mile are making somewhere close to 1600 hp and trapping in the 260 range, so if the car makes the claimed power it might be able to do more than the posted speed...or less.

I understand the difference between standing mile speed and top speed. I also understand that speed isn't linear in conjunction with speed, weight and all the other bullshit your trying to spew. The Veyron which was rated at 1001 hp in Europe and a little bit less here I think it was 99X hp reached 256 mph. Your telling me it takes another 1k hp to reach another 19 mph top speed? I dont think so.
lmao, they want to put a 315 on a 13.5" wide 19" wheel in the rear. That'll be greaaaaaat for achieving those "Quarter mile times 7.8 to 8.0 seconds @ 178 to 195 mph"
I always wanted one. Andre Agassi had one back in the 90's, I think I remember it being for sale also a long time ago. The wx8 was also in Gran Turismo 2 and was a rocket haha

Even if the car can accomplish these goals, how reliable would it be??

WHAM BAM THANK YOU MAM
Have to agree with the car looking like it is out of a fantasy arcade game. Not very pretty compared to the primo exotics out there. And probably not worth the price you'd have to pay. JMO.

Speed isn't linear in conjunction with speed Methinks you should go back and read your post. It wasn't a call out either, just a friendly reminder so acting like an internet badass only makes you look like a douche. I could make a car shaped like a brick go 300 mph but who knows what it would take to do so. I don't know what gearing nor rpm the engine is rated. Until one is track tested, everything is a best guess scenario in comparison to posted numbers. It's the same if you add 200 hp to a mustang without changing gearing, the top speed potential is still the same(limited by the gear ratio) but it will get you there a hell of a lot faster. If you understood all this to begin with, why would you post such an asinine question such as "it takes 2K hp to reach 275mph?"
Depends on the aerodynamics. Formula airplanes go 300+ with 180-200hp. Cars always lose to aircraft in aerodynamics. Drag rises with the cube of speed, so a little difference in "fineness" ratio makes a big difference in top speed.
It will never see production. Why would you even say a rwd car on street tires can run 7.8? That is just retarded. Of course, boasting and ridiculous claims for 'in development cars' is not a new concept for Vector...

And we all know now that Agassi was smokin crack back then. nuff said.

The Veyron actually has another 80 - 100 hp more than what the factory says. An engineer said that because they "just wanted to be on the safe side"
I don't know how much of the company's claims will come true with this car, but I have to admit this picture is pretty damn cool regardless of whatever comes of it!
