You most likely went out during the peak street racing time with all of the idiots. Join www.racevideoforums.com for next time you're in town. We have a tight-knit group of people that aren't idiots that know which local to go to and when to go to avoid the ricers.
That is a nasty Evo for sure, but what is the point of racing a C6 Vette with a 700whp car? I have an Evo as well as a C6Z and they are both mostly stock. That would be like me racing my wife in the Evo...what is the point?
Furthermore, that Busa rider should have destroyed that car from a low speed roll.

The C6 was next fastest car there that was willing to race. The Evo is well known in Memphis and many simply won't race it.

Haha are you serious? If the Busa was stock height and stock length then he wouldnt of killed the EVO from low end. The 08/09 Busas pack a MIGHTY bike with the stock HP and unless you stretch and lower them....you're not going to keep the front end down at WOT. I have a buddy who just got a 08 and he went ahead and lowered and stretched it 4 inches....and guess what....he still pops the front end up at low speeds or from a dig and he weighs a good 250+ lbs....
You're friend needs to learn how to launch his bike. And if it's coming up in first gear roll WOT, he must be sitting on the passenger seat. Does he maybe have a turbo you don't know about? What you describe is nothing like the experience I've had on these bikes and I weigh 50 lbs. less than your friend???? Does he know his weight needs to be over the front wheel?
The only bike I'v ever ridden that would not take WOT in first gear at any time was an 05 ZX-10R and as you know the wheelbase is much shorter.
Maybe the air is MUCH better where you are?
