Posi's Explanation

To svtp'ers.

I am starting to port blowers and have evidentally gotten ahead of myself on something and it needs to be cleared up. I was re-porting a Stage 4 blower and I mistakenly posted a picture of it before I posted what I was doing. In doing so Steig. got offended and thought I was stealing his ports and putting my name on them or posting pictures of his and selling mine. I got ahead of myself because I posted the picture of my EGR delete that completely rids of the EGR hole and the bolt inside the inlet of our superchargers. In the back of the inlet Steig noticed it was an area that I had not reworked yet and started thinking something he shouldn't have. Now, granted I left the door open for them to think this mistakenly and evidentally it's led to some trouble. If I would've gotten a pm about it then I would've removed it or just simply told him I was reworking a blower that he had ported.

The reason I did not post any pictures of it and nobody knew about it was that the owner hadn't mentioned it and it's not mine. Plus we have no numbers yet. So I just posted the EGR delete that way nobody knew whose it was.

^This is the inlet that I made larger and plugged the EGR hole with an insert. This inlet is my design and will be the size of the ones I sell for aftermarket SBTB's. Also I've been called a "HACK" and a lot of other things and that inlet was not finished! I will allways help home porters and will post pictures of things that are not finished.

Thanks,

Posi

brian, if you give me a cobra motor i will put one of your blowers on my car

I personally know brian and he's local to me. He's a good guy and isn't the type of person who's gonna fake something like a blower port. he's been doing this for awhile now, just decided to start making some money off of it.

hopefully, this issue is for all purposes dead. and i'm glad you got it straightened out publicly brian.

In business, there will always be competition, it's the nature of the beast. Unfortunately, we are all far from perfect in how we deal with a perceived intrution to our passion. Some are cut throat and deal with competition by trying to trash the others work, product or service, and some shrug it off as motivation to move forward, develop new ideas and do what it takes to be top dog.

The world can't move forward without innovation and trying new things. Hell, we would all still be driving horse and buggies but my horse would be on steriods and my buggy would have drag radials on it! That's what I see here, someone who has a vision and is motivated to try different ideas and techniques (succeed or fail) to make a better performing more efficient product to support the typical Cobra owners ever nagging desire to make our cars go faster.

I had a "S" ported blower and loved it, as many other do/did on this forum, until my nagging urge to go faster caused me to buy a Whipple. Had I had a choice of who to have my blower ported by, the company that made me believe that their product was "The Best" would have gotten my business, simple as that.

"Innovation Through Determination" is my business moto. Never look back because as soon as you do you will be tripping over the heals of the guy in front of you. Good luck Brian and keep doing good things for the Cobra community.

Good explanation Brian. Those of us that know you personally, can easily vouch for your integrity and honesty. Can understand under the circumstances how Bob could jump to conclusions on this one. But, like you stated, wish it would of been handled privately. That way it could of been easily resolved and no one's business could of been potentially affected.

Really looking forward to seeing the finished product on the blower above!

This is where the confusion is coming from the picture of the ported Eaton above it's a Stiegemeier port.

Stiegemeier

So you do inserted EGR delete's now? I did not know that.

If anyone can please post the inlet of a Stage 4 port and then we will compare.

Thanks

I just went and found that "EXACT" same blower in a thread on here about Dragon Throttle Bodies. So here it is to compare on how it is now mine. Granted like I said I hadn't re-worked the back area yet but still here it is.

This is what it was

Compared to the one above. I do not have a finished picture of it because I was in to much of a hurry to get it shipped out UPS. I am waiting on a picture now.

The entire inlet is larger where the plenum bolts onto or the inlet opening. Then the bottom floor has been dropped which you can clearly see. Last and most obvious is the EGR hole and the material that's left around it in the Stage 4 is gone.

Any questions now?

Edit: Also notice how the first picture is actually the closer one of the two and the second inlet and everything inside it looks larger still.

Both inlets you pictured ARE Stiegemeier ported
Eaton Stage 4.
If you want to show your egr removal then why not use one of your original ports? That is all we ask.

Here's the finished picture of the blower in question that I finally got. If anyone can I don't know how to just show the picture here. So here's the link to it.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...2/IMG_5162.jpg

Steigemeier there's nothing left of your port other than the small hole in front of the larger one on the bottom of the case. Even the part you've been harping on isn't what it seems anymore.

Also I had no intentions of starting any crap and I even re-cut the bottom to a design I could muster. If I could cut the design I'm using now I would've but it wasn't possible.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...2/IMG_5163.jpg

From now on all my finishes will look pretty much like that inlet. I'm still getting all the cutters and stones lined up.

so now you port stage 4s differently?? that would explain why some cars dont perform like others....

first picture is CLEARLY YOUR PORT. has the little hump before the egr. the 2nd picture is the SAME BLOWER but has been ported even more. no more hump...egr blocked off....and even the look of the aluminum is different. reguardless if it was re-ported or it was from scratch...its done by Posi to the fashion that it is now.

How do you not get this but every other person does???
