Just to update this thread. This particular saleen raced a Mach1 with a cat back (not corysmach1). The mach put at least four cars on him from a 20 roll. Wasn't impressed with the saleen. The driver of the saleen wasn't the best driver but it was obvious the mach was the faster car.

LOL.... Yes I was there for this race I rode with the Saleen... Honestly I think it should have been a much closer race. The saleen driver was "ok" but the MACH 1 was clearly faster it pulled in every gear. I would like to see him run another Saleen because I am not sure if his runs right or not.... I know that he did have to take the car back to the dealership for using oil and they shippied the motor to cali. to have it rebuilt....trust me I know the driver mod means a lot but even if I would have drove this Saleen I could not have made up the 4 cars not even 2 cars the MACH 1 just pulled away. The MACHS mods are CAI, Catted x-pipe, Catback,shifter.
Well the driver of the Saleen needs to work on his skills then. There is no way the race should have eneded the way it did. The Saleen is probably a tiny bit heavier. But it has more power.
well i own a 2003 saleen sc. the car dynoed 323 and 337 at 9lbs, which i have never seen 9 lbs on the street!! my auto mach with gears exhaust and predator dynoed 275 and 305.. only time i ran the mach it went 13.10 at 104 and the only time i ran the saleen on 1/4 it went 13.8 at 101.. my buddy managed a 13.5 at 102 that same night in my car.. ive raced a few 5speed STOCK machs and they have all pulled 2 cars give or take, my saleen has catback and o/r x.. the saleen is a better highway roller then the mach but the mach pulls the saleen everytime from a dig (uncle drives the mach now)
also my car is rated at 375 and 415 with the series IV blower which was new for the 2003/2004 sc s281's .. msrp was 46k, the car gets almost instang 5lbs but after that its a gradual climb for the boost..
