It seems like every race was cut short and no one had traction. That being said, which car traps higher in the 1/4?
They were cut short because he wasn't able to hit fourth almost any of the races because his fourth gear is screwed up. Once he gets it fixed, we're gonna get some more runs in, hopefully where we can do some burnouts. Nittos suck on the street.
? For who? That's an LS1 mod and I have no problems shifting. His tranny is screwed up so he needs a rebuild to fix that. I only missed that one shift, which I thought was funny because that's only the second time I've missed a shift in this car since I got it running right last year, and I race a LOT.
You can say that again! I am selling my NT555Rs and going back to a regular ultra high performance summer tire. I noticed little to no gain on the street without a ton of preheating the tires. That and I'm afraid of cornering too hard on those NT555Rs due to the softer sidewall than a regular ultra high performance street radial.

Sorry I thought you were missing 4th as well (didn't realize it was a freak thing)...
Work on that smoothness & stop being so mean to that shifter...
Your pushrods will thank you.

Good runs again Joe.... Yea.. for those who say he's at fault for non-driving, just throw that shit on down my-way, and check his SN for the numerous, NUMEROUS threads about lumpin' up people.
I was seriously worried about the outcome of the race, but mostly concerned about having a good time, which is what happened. I don't want to speculate but I would like to think I got 1-2mph on him, but all will be told after a rematch deep into 4th gear. Keep in mind the Aero's of a fox is extremely bad, and I think there will be a seriously good race at hand once everything is said and done.
BTW... The first 3 gears I had I worked those mu****as... the first 3 races I didn't shift fast.. the last 4 I was WORKIN' that trans w/ no-lift mods to make up for what gears I didn't have PLUS the fact he would whup up on me initially on the 40 hit regardless if we hit it at the same time or not!

Hold on I saw this in a movie once...
And why do people keep insisting that I can't drive when I missed one shift out of the twenty something shifts that day??? Hahahaha. I've only ever missed a shift in this car twice since I got it and fixed the clutch, and that was one of them!

AOD(e) = Automatic OverDrive Transmission... I believe from the Foxbody days (not sure if it goes farther back than that era or not though)...
I just figured you pushed a bit hard and ran into the stupid line pressure issue..I wasn't saying you can't drive. I have the issue at the track all the time...I get too aggressive and try to powershift, then fail. Figured the drill mod would help you out if that was the case. Trust me bro... I can't drive for shit so I would be the last person dogging you for your shifting skills.

Ah, ok. Yeah, I've got the drill mod done, RAM adjustable master, Textralia, Pro 5.0. I've basically spent the entire two years that I've had my car replacing every clutch/transmission related part 2-3 times to figure out what was wrong with it when I got it (I was having MAJOR disengagement issues). Finally at the end of last year I got it all sorted out and since then have only missed two shifts (one of which you saw in the vid), both because I was paying more attention to where the other car was and not enough attention to actually shifting, haha. It's very rare but hey, it happens to everyone at some point, just sucks that it happened on video!

Haha, I know, I was actually thinking the same thing when we were putting the video together!

haha I hear you...nothing worse than having proof of a missed shift posted up..
How hard is the drill mod? I think I can shave off a lot of time if I am actually able to shift as fast as I can instead of the crap I have to pull just to get intot the next gear.

Pulling the master is easy, the mod itself is pretty simple, but putting the master back in is a bitch, even with two people (not even worth trying with one person most of the time).

Great.... ah well...looks like I'm sticking with my 'one thousand one, shift' method.... gah.
