Is that average numbers for a Z06 with those mods? Just judging by how you pulled both cars in the videos that you are making a bit more than the dyno says...
540ish is probably right... stock c6Zs (10s 1/4 stock) are a drivers race for a 580- 600 rwhp full weight cobra. its all about weight
nice run there burnin, when you go to the track post up the vid here or make a thread. i would like to see how it runs with the current setup. must sound beastly at idle as well with the cam.
i tend to never go anywhere without a video camera, hoping to hit the track this friday. I'm not too concerned about et's, because the stock runflats dont hook up worth a damn in the 60ft. I'm hoping to see low 130 traps, high 10's would be great but I expect low 11's.
well from a dig it may be a different story. you see he ran a 11.6....the auto whipple cars are dipping into the low tens now.
im not saying i could win from a roll, because those cars are top end monsters, but from a dig it may be a different story.
I ran 11.6 with headers/intake and tune, not with my cam. also, I had the oem runflats, 2.1 60ft on that pass. she had high 10 sec potential before the cam went in. no doubt, cobras are much more competitive at the dragstrip, they seem to hook up really well and stay in the power band down the track.
this guy basically ran the same times as me with his 2.8 whippled cobra Vids if 1st ever time at track with 2.8kb . I'm sure he makes a lot more power than me, but ran similiar times before my cam went in.

nice. man i think about going to a vette somedays...but im nowhere near ready for the payment of a z06.(i wouldnt go to anything but)
but anyways....man your car is awesome. where are you in alabama? im coming to the southern tip for thanksgiving. id love to see it!
rolling like that the cobra has no chance. No 2.2-3L twinscrew on any boost combo is going to keep up with a cammed ls7 like that on the highway. From a dig its a drivers race. You need a 3.4, 2.2-3 w/ a shot or an eaton/BIG shot.

thanks! I'm in south alabama near mobile. the payment for a z is large, however the monthly payment is pretty much all you need to make once a cam package goes in. no race gas, no blowers, basically $5500 for headers/cold air/cam package, labor and tune and your set. I dumped 100k+ in a subaru and couldnt keep it running longer than a week at a time. 3 motors, 3 trany's, numerous turbos, rear ends, axles, 100's of gallons of race gas, and it was still slower than my z, haha.
if you're gonna spray, might as well make it 100 shot, especially since you're gonna run race gas. although, i dont really know the limits of the termys stock block.

Yea I know a couple guys with twinscrew and spray that have had their blowers freeze up on them. Next race we will have will be me with hopefully 50 more hp and no passenger. I think your still win but it SHOULD be closer......hopefully. LOL.
WOW that Z moved. I have seen a whipple cobra take a c6 z but clearly no competion to a cammed z . Man I want one now wouldnt mind owning one.....but I dont have the money.

I'm about 100hp over stock. my car dyno'd 427/399 in 103 degree temps, and 538/497 in 85 temps with mods. they really wake up with bolt-ons + cam . however, as bad azz as the c6 z is, they still dont make as much power as the 03/04 cobra and shelby gt500 with mods. hard to beat a 3100lb car with excellent aerodynamics and gearing though.
I think GM does a better job than Ford with their gear selections. They also do a much better job at the shifter placement. Even the new Mustangs shifter location isn't very good IMO. It sits to close and high up.

I can top out at 145 in forth but thats pulling it to nearly 7K, but with the whipple thats where you need to shift anyway to get the full potential out of it.
