Since I know the car, have driven it.....and hooked him up with it...let me tell you.
Cobra intake
B cam
FRPP 347 shortblock
Edlebrock performer 5.0 heads (small heads-valves)
Shorty headers exhaust etc.
BBK CAI
65 or 70mm TB, cant remember.
Generic "welds" with 275/50 dr's and 7" wheels up front (not skinnies)
T-5 tranny with CF clutch
3.27 gears
Brand X nitrous kit with 52 nitrous jet.
The car makes around 300rwhp on motor, and sprays 100 shot.
The car was weighed last weekend, 2800#'s WITHOUT driver. Bob, the driver....weighs around 325#'s.
There are the facts. Don't call me wrong, because it will just show me you are ignorant.
I would bet the z06 will come by ya at higher speed, but a lot of people underestimate a powerful fox body comin out of a low speed punch with giggle gas, along with a driver willing to drive it like he stole it. Your 347 is probably around 350whp ballpark, but I'd say very little if no more than that. Your hp and tq curves are gonna be pretty flat though.
What everyone on here fails to remember is that the horsepower means nothing when you are spraying. NOS gives you an incredible amount of torque. Where the coupe and the zo6 are probably making similar hp, the coupe is probably making mid 500 rwtq where the z06 is in the mid 400 rwtq range. That is why the coupe won the race.
Thats the one thing with this site, its like nobody know's what 5.0's can do. I mean, WTF are you doing with a B cam car with 3.27's. Plus any 347 only making 300 rwhp has an issue with it as you can get 302's to pull those numbers.
I'd say if there were equal drivers from a roll, and the car really makes those numbers its gonna lose. But a properly running 347 should be good for at least 350 rwhp, more on the tq, and on top of that the nitrous should be a good run from a low roll, or better from a dig.

Yes, torque won this race for me. My coupe probably makes 400 rwh and 525rwtq on spray.
I'm Notchbackbob on that board, I refer to my car as swampnuts. My son and I put the jets in. no one else was there. My son does not post on either board, so if I didn't post it, it's just some ones guess.

Ok, cool. Just curious, as a bigger shot would = different results.
Good run Bob nothing like beating up on general products. Hey ask that guy if he bought that vette used in Sarasota looks like my old 07 Z06. I don't know all these vids of Cobra's getting beat by vett's and general products just doesn't make any sense to me. I haven't been beaten but any GM product yet since I moved to Fl and I got a couple races under my belt.
lol at all the professionals that predicted this race and were completely wrong...
it was definitely a shock that the fox pulled a stock z by a tiny margin till 130mph, however at 130+ is where the c6z shines. 4th gear goes from 125-160+ which is no mans land for a fox. again, props to the fox, but I dont understand why they ended the race at 130, the results would have been drastically diff.

Some on hear thought a 200 shot could not get the job done, others thought a dig would be my only chance. I wanted to do a 30 roll on my 100 shot to gauge my car.
