Not Necessarily, with the right mods you can take a GT. There's cobra's out there making 1200-1400 HP on a single turbo, some Twin, you can argue the same for a GT500, which comes 500 HP Out of the box. 5.4L Cast Iron Block VS a 5.4L AL Block. slightly different internals obviously. One's a wet sump and the other is a dry sump.
There's guys that are TTing GT500's as well, Just throwing on a blower put's the gt500 at close to 6-700HP depending on which one you get.
Why for 1/4 of the price you can get a Terminator and throw a KB or Whipple and beat it, or if you wanted to Twin turbo it.
and yet you still wont replicate the feeling it is to drive a ford gt. i never said it was the fastest thing around. its a combination of its power delivery, the suspension and handeling and that just all around fun factor of the car its self.

Wrong so a 2010 gt500 5.4 makes 540hp on 8 psi yet it takes the GT 4psi to make 10hp come on now..
OMG dude are you serious? The 5.4L AL has different internals and a different pulley. what does the 2010 GT500 have anything to do with it anyway. and a different tune.

This is ridiculous logic. I always love when there's a video of vette or something getting smashed by a ____(enter exotic here). Following the video, you will have your share of people that say, "sure, but throw a HCIE and procharger kit on that vette and you'll blow the exotic's doors off."
The thing people fail to realize, apparently, is that...it's an exotic car. You are comparing a MUSTANG cobra to a GT. Really? They're no where near comparable. Power aside, the GT is exponentially better than a cobra is...modded to hell with a single turbo (and producting 1200-1400hp) or not.

Do you seriously want to argue this, when you obviously don't know WTF you're talking about? A stock Ford GT makes 12#. Don't base your entire arguement on the fact that the factory rated the GT @ 550 and the GT500 @ 540.

A stock GT500 puts out what 500HP at the crank, and what maybe 490 or so the wheels, maybe they aren't numbers but there pretty damn close to a Stock GT. Throw a Hellion Kit or any turbo kit on a GT500 your hitting 1000HP if not slightly more, add spray your probably hitting close to 1150-1200 give or take.
You do the exact same thing to a GT you get some what identical numbers. the GT has what 550 at the crank and what 505 to wheels, throw a pulley on there your only getting a 10-12 HP increase if that.
You do the same to a GT500 your in the GT stock range if not slightly more. and your still not even in the price range of a Ford GT, they held their value for how many years now.

Who cares? You are comparing two totally different types of cars. If your logic made any sense everyone would drive around a 5.0 Coupe with (insert motor here). How many GT guys do you think use their car for road coarse? not many they sit in garages and collect dust, and only see day light every once in a blue moon even modded ones.
Because the 4v has ton's more of potential that's why. and you can't really compare a 4.6L 3v to a 5.4L sorry that's just dumb. the Gt500 already have forged bottom ends, where you gotta put pistons in etc, to a 3v, but then you gotta worry about Block strength.
^^thanks guys, and yea you can do a zillion other things to a stang, but the looks that thing get si unbelieveable, and i dont look at the car like its 250 grand, i feel bad for the idiot that paid that new, cause i too would say beef up a '10 gt500 and call it a day, but this car is great, and ive driven a shit load of cars, too many wealthy family memebers, the ford gt is a goal to buy tho for me, i want one really bad, best bang for the buck in my OP, but hey to each his own, the car is gorgeous and he fact that he ddrives it every day makes it so much cooler, my neighbor daily drives his lambo diablo, and i get a kick out of that thing, i drove that as well, not as fast as the gt obv. but realy sick looks wise, idk, ill get more proof this weekend...

I guess a GT500 is much better than a Ferrari F430 too because most people just have them sit in a garage and dont race them and because you could put a pulley on the GT500 and beat the Ferrari on the highway. You are a clown... Heres alittle bit of a hint for you. Ford GT's sit in garages safe because they are a very limited build car worth something. A GT500 is just a Mustang.
