Drag times with my stock terminator and killed a new GXP
Went to the strip for the first time with the new ride. Bone stock 04 Terminator coupe. Best run i could muster with traction issues was a 12.87 @111.7 mph with a 2.1 short time. Temp was about 40-45 degrees all day. Thought i would be doin well if i broke 12s first time out with the car. Quick question though, does my mph seem low? Thought it might be off by 2 or 3 mph? There was a slight head wind. Thoughts?
Then on the ride home i beat up on my buddies brand new Pontiac Gxp from a 40 roll to about 120. Had 2-3 cars and gaining. The guy in the Gxp holds the nations best drag time for a stock Gxp m6.
Anyways lemme know your thoughts about my stock time.

What is the "nations best drag time for a stock M6 GXP" ?
Head wind does pose a problem because I had the same problem with getting good times with my Cobra but I think the cold air also helped me to.

87 LX gone but never forgotten...best time 13.75 @ 99mph
95 GT dyno'd 529+rwhp on slipping clutch, never hooked at the track 12.0 @ 124mph with 2.1 60ft a money pitt that's also gone and not missed too much but never forgotten
Depends, a few A6's have hit 12.8-12.9 @ 109-110 stock, they're easier to launch at the track than the M6. Most M6 cars go 13.2-13.5 stock because they can't launch the damn thing.
Good times. Still think with a 111 trap you should walk your 3V friend, ROFL.
Get the 60 ft down (hard to do on street tires) and you will see a 12.5-12.6 if you power-shift the car.
I ran a 12.9 @ 112, then a 12.99 @ 113 Bone Stock still in the learning stages of the car. Your trap is right about on. Best trap ever was 114-115 which was in perfect conditions with perfect driving.

I'm one of those few A6's....12.977 @ 110.06 with a crappy 2.188 60 ft. (bone stock).
Yep, that was me. Dwight is a good guy, and his Cobra is quick, but he didn't include all the details. He failed to mention that I was driving with a buddy of mine in my car (about 225), along with myself (about 255), and track stuff in the trunk, so my LS3 was trying to move 4500 lbs! Dwight was by himself, and he's a leaner guy. Plus, I was running 91 octane fuel because that's the highest octane I could get before I ran out of gas. I'm not saying that I would have taken him, but the run would have been a bit closer if I was by myself, and had 93 octane. I don't view this as embarrassing anyway. He has nearly as much HP, in a lighter platform. You may want to pass that info along to the Mustang crowd. Dwight seems like an honest guy, so I doubt he'll deny it.

Just wanted to state for the record!
When we teched in Tye was talking about the wind conditions with Matt wondering if they would be an issue. I did notice it had some gusts i would say up to around 10-15 mph. When i noticed a consistent 111mph in my runs i asked tye if my mph was off by alot. He stated a few factors that could be the cause wind being one. Guess i never really noticed the wind direction from where we were pitting.
Yes, he did have a passenger and i remember him fueling up on 91. Truth.
On a factory tune the car should run well on 91?? I remember some talk about that too through out the night. True or false?
"Dwight was by himself, and he's a leaner guy" Thanks for the compliment!!

Ask Joe if he filled up on 91 or was it 89? I remember Tye and Matt making fun of the gas station for having 89 octane! Is that what he ment??
If you got gas anywhere near the track you are limitd and likely got ethonal crap or 89... one of the stations in Cordova (city) has 91 octane though so if you look for it you can find it.
What day did you run? A quick lookup on Wunderground will tell you how the winds were on that day.
On Saturday (24th) winds were W/NW at 3 ~ 15mph with gust of 18~21mph http://www.wunderground.com/history/...q_statename=NA
