terminator vs 4th gen camaro ss

my car is a 99 SS convertible automatic with 3600 stall, catback, LS6 intake, lid, some other minor mods, 150 shot nitrous with push system.

i was on the freeway in the afternoon and traffic was pretty light. up ahead i noticed a very clean terminator with wide tires out back and a decent sounding exhaust. i had to say hello.

i'm moving along at about 80~ and speed up a little to catch up to him as he's about 8 cars up. he sees me coming and gooses it a little and makes me chase him. next thing you know, we're going about 130-140 before we come to a nice straight/flat clearing and he drops back to something like 80-100 (wasn't really paying attention).

i pull up to his left and give a nod. we pause for a brief second until he drops back to my rear tire and nails it. i hit it as we're side by side and he starts to walk me hard. i hit the 150 shot and he's still walking. next thing i know, i'm in overdrive and spraying at about 130 and he's got at least a clean 1-2 cars. it seemed like more, but i remember he turned his head to check me in his blind spot(?) before switching into my lane to avoid a car up ahead - at which point i let off. i'm sure if we would have kept going, he would have just kept on pulling. after that, there was some light traffic, i gave a thumbs up and i think he exited.

i joined up here to see if i could find what he's got done to it, but its hard to sort through this endless sea of 500-700rwhp terminators. if you're reading this - nice kill!

Probably would have had a better shot from a lower roll but nice death anyways. You're right about the power level- driving a terminator is almost like cheating

Yeah nice runs and I'm guessing from a dig the race would have been a lot closer with the win going possibly either way at least in the 1st 1/4 mile.

i was expecting at least pullied car with bolt-ons, but i had a feeling he had a little more going on when i couldn't hear the whine over his exhaust (he also had out of state IL plates, whereas the rest of us are stuck with strict CA smog regulations). i couldn't pass up the opportunity.

easy there ethug. we have no idea how modified the cobra was.
the 80-100mph roll just happened naturally, we actually slowed down a bit for it. there wasn't much opportunity to shut down the freeway, mark off a 1/4 mile and setup a tree. although i did have some vht trackbite in the trunk i could have used for prep.

Just ignore it... to some of these guys if there isn't a pro 5.0 tree and a dig race involved they don't care. Why they continue to read and post in these threads I have no idea...but the rest of us still enjoy them.

If you are behind him it will be really hard to hear the whine over the exhaust reguardless. Especially if he was running an off road X.

That's the pot calling the kettle black. How are you going to tell someone they have a weak car and are retarded when your h/c spray firechicken went 11.89 @114. Might be fast on import night, but not here.

If I read correctly, the cobra driver made him chase to 130, slowed down to 80 and floored it.

You my friend, (and your bird) are weak. Polly wanna 10.90 bawwwwwwwk

good death OP. Can't win em all. Look at post. He lost to a mustang too.

Good death! It's definitely gonna be hard to run down a Cobra from those speeds with an auto, but it sounds like you put up a hell of a fight.

I love morons who cant read my sig. It says "bolt ons and spray"...H/C/N20 setup was done way after that run. But your obviously a moron who cant read for shit.

Another thing over looked by most morons, including yourself, is that the altitude I am at isnt the best for racing. I dont know all the tracks in the US but Im pretty sure it is the HIGHEST elevation at any track in the US. LOL poor little kid you are just a moron.

Dont worry, next time out to the track and I cut that 10.90 or better with a DA of over 8300' Ill laugh.

But dont worry, Id rape your little pony down a 1320' without a worry. Hows it feel to run close to the same time as me almost at sea level when I do it with 8300' air? You fail.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize I was talking to a 12 yr old. I'm not.

It feels great to run that cobra. I can still sell it for 22k.

I guess turd bruglers like you are the reason a lot of people leave these forums.

No one really cares that mom and dad financed your little project. Yes I do realize that you are in CO. Lived there, not fun.

My point was.....he was honest enough to post a death to a cobra on a cobra website. Go to LS1tech if you want to talk down to SVT members.

P.S.

I also own a 00SS that runs 9.22. Actually, ran that last night in our good air.
The cobra is for the wife not me. Just cant drive the SS in town too much, Yes it is street legal. No, you can't beat it. When you do run that 10.90, go ahead and laugh, I'll get over it.

I think its bedtime, let the adults talk now.

Good race. He might've been spraying too... You never know what you'll run into on the street.

I ran an '03 Cobra last year on the highway that was just basic stock pulley intake/exhaust which was no problem for the Mach. Then I ran into the same car at a get together spraying a 75 shot which I was also able to beat, but it just goes to show you never know what's going on when you're running on the street.

LMAO you have got to be kidding me. You try to insult my age, yet you use the #1 insult used by 12 year olds on the internet. "Mommy and daddy bought your car boohoo". Actually, they didnt. But you go ahead and think that, if it makes you feel better then please do so.

I love how you talk about resale...Nobody cares. Well maybe you do. Because when you earn $18k a year, its all about resale value. I wish I lived where you do, housing values are shit.

Well since you own an Ls1 (which who knows, you could just be full of shit with your 18 posts), you would know it takes some power to smoke a Spec 3+ clutch...Which I did on the dyno...So obviously I make good enough power. Dont worry I will get over it too, Im not some chump who cant read, doesnt know shit about the shit he tries to talk about.
