The GTO has not been axed, it was only intended to be a 3 year run from its introduction in 04' on the Manaro platform. The 05 GTOs sold very well, especially on the West Coast.
It is scheduled to return on a new platform in 07' or 08'.

All I know is that the 06 GTO is getting a 1 piece driveshaft, 32 slpine axles, new M12 trans out of the new Z06, and a 9 inch rear end. Hmmmm . . . You would think that they are getting ready to put a lot of HP into it soon. Say 2007 with a 7.0 liter LS7 and 505 HP.

Is all that true Doc? I have only heard the minor stuff like tailights and lighted steering wheel controls. Where did you find that information?

Your wording in your very first post in this thread says otherwise. You actually believed that was the new GTO.
Also your mistaken assumption that you saw that picture before I did is laughable. I've been around this stuff for nearly 40 years, and I can assure you I've seen many more things than yourself.

Ummm.... I said what it "might" look like Nobody truly knows what it's going to look like unti lthey release it. Being around this "stuff" that many years I would think you would be more mature instead of asking "have I been hiding under a rock"
Also I have seen this and other prototypes for months now. I don't mind putting these picture back out because as you see from some of the posts some haven't seen it yet.
