So today i went and looked at University of North Carolina Charlotte as a serious college choice. It looks like a really nice school, and one of the girls i was touring the place with wasn't bad looking either. They have a really cool motorsports engineering program. They have 2 legends cars, 2 formula cars, 1 dragcar, 2 baja cars, a dirtbike and a 4 wheeler. Seems really interesting. We'll see what happens.
I'm a Junior/Senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technology . if you got questions feel free to ask.

motorsports seems to be a little more challenging. When I went in as a freshmen, they said by our junior yr they would have a engineering program for mechanical Engineering Technology. So that's why I (and bunch of others) decided to do it. They are now saying they don't enough teachers to do it, pissed ALOT of us off.

sucks dude ,hopefully you can get that degree in the end
And now look he is getting responses and advice from people at that school. Its a relevant topic that I think could have gone with out that comment....
I'm currently going to a community college for Engineering(still on the fence of civil and mechanical). Hoping to go out of state I really like U of Maine I have a friend who is there and it has a great engineering program, but I may look into this too...

Baja rocks. I was on the UMD baja team last year. Got 25th out of 141 teams at the competition in Rochester, NY. I got to drive in comp and was 18/141 in the suspension and traction event.
If you like cars at all, take all the car classes you can. Our school sucked in that respect so the only related classes I could take were 'vehicle dynamics' and baja or formula SAE. I think Baja was the only class in all 4 years that I actually learned something that I cared about and will remember for a long time. Hands on stuff is so much better than taking notes and remembering formulas that will always be in books for you to look at.
