A guy I know at work said the same thing. He's about 15 years older than I am tho and just decided after two kids he'd get one with a week of vacation. He told me a **** ton of ice is needed for awhile even after that week of vacation in the evenings after work.

RIP cobra!!! 12/11/2003-10/21/2009 you will be missed.
Ok here is MY standpoint on this sit. I am 17. Yes 17 and about to turn 18 in a month. first off. I have MANY friends that have children already. Its seems they keep getting younger and most are getting married to the person. One of my friends has had a child, been married and divorced before she was 19. I know a 15 that has a child. Alot of people in my high school are pregant or have 1 to 2 children ALREADY. It is a bad idea and all of them admit it was stupid after it happened but felt they could handle it before and life would be perfect. They all have no life's trying to take care of the children and can't do anything anymore. They were forced to Grow up. I am one of the few in my high school and in my area to NOT have a child already. Most of them drop out of school or college and just work somewhere crappy to get by. Its horrible. I learned from watching my friends make these mistakes and thank god it didn't happen the other way. Good luck to anyone that does have this happen cause its a hard life. I have seen this happen to, to many people.
sorry for the read/rant. didn't know I wrote that much...
Ok so usually I don't like to create threads unless I really feel a need to get a second opinion on something. But I was browsing another forum I am on this happened to pop up, a 20 year announcing he got his 19 year old GF preggo. Now I was post a link for you's to see, Me personally I think is stupid because most kids are freshman in college etc.
He claims his girlfriend will be going to college part-time and he's an engineer, I highly doubt he's making that great of money starting out, plus its a family owned business so he probably gets everything handed to him.
Here's the link if anyone cares to look, or give an opinion. Personally I much rather have a kid in my late 20's and make sure I have a stable career and good with money.
I'm 30, live in my own house, with my wife and 2 kids.
My oldest is 13, youngest 9.
You are 19...or almost, only skimmed your gaybait flame thread over there.
So tell me big guy, how much of your taxes in 3 years have paid my bills, car payments, house payments......
STFU, and don't flame others because you are sad, lonely, and still live off your parents and suck your mama's tit.
FAG.
I am interested in you sharing your VAST knowledge of the economy, douche.
First of all this isn't SD so Ill go lightly on things, Because I don't need a infraction. You obviously didn't read the whole thing and you admitted it as well.
He's obviously still living with his parent's because they own a business and he's got an STI and he's 20 years old hmmm. thats was a given there dude. Don't know why you even mention that. I knew there be at least one douche to comment in here, it was just a matter of time. And I am quite surprised that it lasted 3 pages before it happened.
On a side note, whats your knowledge on the economy? were obviously in a recession no question about it, Its hard to find Jobs. the kid could probably barely make ends meet with his car payments and Insurance, How much do you really think a 19 supposedly engineer makes.hmm... Ill let you figure that one out on your own. Its still no excuse to have a kid at 19 and 20 thats for damn sure.
Your 30 years old big deal what does that mean to me absolutely nothing, If my math calculations are correct you were 17 when you had your first kid.
I take it you made a mistake no.... Because isn't that was it is when your young and stupid..hmmm... I think so.
I think 19-20 is way too young to have a child. It's crazy how many other people I see who I went to high school with (I'm 21) and how they've had a kid or are having one. Hell, this one guy I know has gotten 3 different girls pregnant.
weird how this goes now a days. my dad/mom had me when they were 20 and it turned out fine. now a days though 19-23 is too young. i'm 26 and dont plan on having kids for awhile now.

Got damn some of you speak of community college as If its for the scum of the world..so what do you think of people joining the military out of highschool????? Sorry everyone isnt fortunate enough to go to a University right out of highschool...sheesh!
Is it too young to have a child? It really depends on the maturity level of the people raising the child. There are some people who ARE ready at that age. Although I don't think most people at this age really understand how much time, money, stress a child can be. If they are completely aware of this and are ready to sacrifice a lot then go for it. If you can't support it on your own that you are not ready.
I would try not to but if he is ready for the challenge and knows that he has to bring him up right then I dont see a problem. My parents waited until they were 29 to have me.
My buddy had his first kid at 19 and his 2nd at 20... We no longer talk because of the chain his girlfriends drags him around on are attached to his nuts.
I don't think there is a set age to have kids. If you feel you are ready and that is what you want to do, that's what you should do.
I don't understand what makes the "magic age". Oh, I'm 28 now I should be ready to procreate!
It's different for everyone, some people are more mature than others at different ages.
I agree completely I was married at 18 (by choice) and had my daughter right before my 21 birthday, and I don't regret it a bit, my husband worked a 40 hour week, we had what we needed, and when my daughter got a little older, I went into an apprenticeship (automotive painter) and things were fine, we divorced, mainly because he didn't want to keep the little one,
(she is disabled) so I put him up for adoption and was able to support her on my own with no help. I found my current husband in 1997, he said I could stay home with my little one, as we didn't need 2 incomes, I worked a few years and stayed home when she started health issues (shes fine now)
but at 35 we decided to try for another baby (we are expecting twins) we waited a long time as we weren't sure if we should with my daughter needing so much care, but we didn't want to miss our window either, so went for it. This time around was way easier, but when you are ready you are ready, and I know not every case will be ok, and a majority will be welfare cases, but I was lucky, and honestly having my first child at a younger age was a huge benefit, had my car, had my own place, and was quite happy

Not to hijack the thread, but going to community college is not a bad idea. With the cost of a college education, most CC's offer a way for people to get their first 2 years of gen ed's out of the way for less money before moving onto a college/university to complete their degree. Just thought I'd add that in.
Yes, but when you stay for all 4 (or 5) years at a community college to get a degree, it says something about you, IMO.

Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, hitting the G-spot, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet my ass everyone can find and push the Snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time every time...

I really don't see why you think it says something about someone if they get a degree from a community college. All that matters is that they want to better themselves through higher education and get a degree.

I got married at 20 to the girl I had dated through high school(she was 18 at the time). We had our first child 2 1/2 years ago when I was 23 and she was 21. So now at 25 and 23 we are buying our first house and she just finished school and started a career in the medical field. I had to support my family for the past few years while she was in school, which was a little crappy but it worked ok. I will say that I make decent money for not having a degree (50k+ since I was 22), so that made it easier. If I had it all to do over again I would probably rather waited to get married and have kids for a few years, but the way I look at it is if I can have kids early and get them out of the house before I am too old to walk that will be good. So it worked for me, but I am sure that I am more of the exception than the rule.
