There are many of us on this forum that took an oath that we feel we have never been released from. I wanted to make sure you knew about this :
1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.
2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people
3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal.
4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state.
5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.
6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.
7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.
8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control.”
9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.
10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

Even if you are not an active duty or vet you can be an honary oathtakers.
I like it but there are too many drones out there.

Meaning, independent of being in the armed forces, past or present we can all believe and act as our conscience and independence dictates, and keep the spirit of independence alive in our forseeable troubled times. An oath to keep the constitution alive and stand strong..
Look back at 1932 when Hoover ordered the Army to move in and disperse the "Bonus Army" or if you want to go further back take a look at the 1780's when Veterans marched on Philadelphia to demand owed pay, they were force ably removed by the Army, both of these stories are largely forgotten pieces of history and many would prefer they remain forgotten.
This could happen again in the near future, something to think about, how would you respond?
Why do you think the government will not be bringing all the troops on foreign soil home but moving them around to other locations/hot spots. Most your military personnel I have talked to feel the same as your first post. But I believe it will happen at some point in the not to distant future. It has always been said the US will be taken over without a war and we may actually live to see it.

The way the government is currently is precisely why the topic was raised, and so many are concerned. And I must chuckle at your avatar: do you really have a high-power scope mounted on a suppressed PISTOL? I find anything more than 4x long relief to be a waste. Try shooting silhouette, and you will learn to hit reliably out to 200 yards with iron sights on your pistol. With a rifle, if you can see a man-sized target you should be able to hit it.

Where exactly is this far right wing you speak of? When I hear far right wing I think of a totalitarian type of group like the Nazis. The way the government is at this time, we are watching FAR LEFT groups taking over the country. And these FAR LEFT GROUPS are working to usher in a global government. This is isn't tin foil hat stuff.
