Dave I'm searching for front brake lines and have not found any yet!

The car came with a Ferodo (sp?) pad. I would think the Ford pad from the parts dept. would be the same? That's just fine for the street!

Ford fluid is also fine for the street and drag racing. It's pretty good stuff actually! Once you get on a road course you're going to want to get some brake cooling put on. I'm going through the fog light openings instead of those areas to cut out in the lower grille.

I feel your pain as I lived their for 25yrs. However, you always get off with a couple of warnings. Everyone that I have known to get a ticket for the plate just paid the fine w/out any talk of points. The courts really don't care about the points on something like a license plate ticket... just the revenue from the fine. Well worth it to prevent having holes in your front bumper cover.

I drove w/out front plates on many cars, for many years, and never got anything more than a warning. Hell, I only got stopped 2-3 times.

actually...the car comes with small indentations in the bumper, the screws go into them....if i ever wanted to cover them up,just putting on a new lower lemans stripe and a very small amount of rtv or other filler and u would never know they were ever there...but..it doesn't bother me in the least...i'm used to seeing front plates on every thing here..

Ha ha, not exactly a driving impression but you guys are going to laugh at me!!

I just found out last week that the rear seat backs fold down in my car?!?!

My last SN95 had no back seat. My other Mustang is a 1966 Coupe. A friend of mine that has a 1996 Cobra demonstrated how the seats fold down! I was like cool!!!!

So in case there are any other's out there (I seriously doubt it?!!?) that were unaware of this, now you know!

Gwen is enjoying her break in the action while I pop Scarlett's cherry at the track next weekend! The "girls" get along just fine with each other!

For those of you that don't know this, Andy gave me my first ride in a 2000 Cobra R at MAM in October of 2002. I have not been the same since! He instanly turned me into a track ho!!! What a guy!!

I spoke to Ford today,And John,at SVT,and both said my 07/ShelbyGt500,was picked up by the transporteron,10/10/06,on it's way to the Rail-Road,station to be loaded for shipment to it's destination of New-Orleans,Louisiana,to be unloaded, then transported to Baton-Rouge,Louisiana,to Robinson-Brothers-Ford. It's orginal delevery was suppose to be 10/12/06,to Baton-Rouge,today,but it was held up at the striping fisiciality. So not arrival date is 10/20-27/07. Which is around another 10 days from today roughly. I've beem waitting for this car or I should say a Shelby Gt500 since 1968,now it's finially going to happen. It's a coupe,color--White/Blue/Lemans Stripes, and all 3 options. I put a dep[osit some 23 months ago down, and back then made an aggrement for MSRP,and that's what I'll be payingin just a few weeks. That price is $45,060.00,which is MSRP. I know it's not under MSRP,but I still fell awfully luck to be paying STICKER and not 5,10,15,20,25,Thousand over MSRP,Well I donot mean too be long wiended, but very exciteed to get it. Please excuse me for my misspelled words.

My Convert is another story. Fit and finish I would say is.... not very good. I am supposed to meet with a Ford rep tomorrow to find the outcome of them buying car back. (yes its issues have gone to very top of Ford Brass)

The biggest issues are body panel alignment is quite poor, there is a masking tape line approx 18" long in center of 1/4 panel (yes its been repainted once already by Ford), dents in top of both rear 1/4's, hood appears as though its been replaced, drivers fender at bottom sticks out from door, pass side fender sticks out in middle as curve seems wrong, pass door does not match body line at top, over spray from repaint in door jamb. Needless to say I am not very pleased with the Convert. Runs great but seems to be way down on power compared with coupe although just did the J10 PCM reset this eve and feels a bit better.
Wow that's aweful. Makes me want to go out and look mine over once again although I just waxed it for the first time yesterday and I did not notice anything at all and I did look it over very well (especially the stripes).

At least you have the coupe and hopefully Ford will make it right with you (are you seeking another vert from them?). Sad that Ford would let something like that get by their quality control people and their pre-delivery inspections.

I'm sure there is someone out there who would jump on the chance to buy it from them at a fair price, although they would probably just put it on E-bay for profit and give Ford a bad name all over again.

Good Luck and I hope the final outcome is a positive one. I feel bad for the car though... just doesn't seem fair!

Is it not possible that some sort of damage happened during shipping, or at the dealer during a quick joy ride (followed by the dealer trying to cover it up)?

why did you take delivery of a car in this condition? if i had ordered the car i would have politily asked for a new one. if i purchased it off lot(off yard in this case) i would have waited for the next shipment or allotment. did dealer note the conditions of the car before delivery? if not they should be the ones holding the bag for the car, with a full refund to you. good luck.
