Results from today on 91 octane, 11.5 AFR, and the car was making 12.5lbs of boost on the Steeda 2.7 pulley...remainder of mods in sig.

Dynodynamics machine so the "numbers" may seem a bit low, but there they are

This was a terrible day for a dyno, hot with thin air but still turned decent numbers. What impressed me was the torque curve, flat as a pancake.

my results

My 2010 GT500 just made 517.8 rwhp and 520.1 rwtq mods were 2.6 metco pulley,c+l cold air kit, tuneed by Lidio at Alternative Auto......this was through the stock 2010 gt500 exhaust....at first i thought the numbers were low but then i compared the numbers to my former 09 that had the same package but with magnaflow off road x-pipe, 3.5" welded in High Flow Cats, Bassani SS catback, and they were 30rwhp more and 17rwtq more so i guess the lack of exhaust work cost me at least the chance to equal those that i had on my 09 shelby gt500....

Here the final results from tonight!

Last run of the night all blower no juice! All runs were made with 93+Torco

Nitrous Runs

The run files make it look like it was breaking up but it was actually the wheels hopping on the dyno from all the power! :-) The first NOS run it took a little longer for the nitrous to hit because there was no NOS in the lines. I have a window switch from 3-6K RPM. Second run it hit hard on the lower end and kept hopping on the dyno. I'm running a 75shot zex kit, but I'm runing it dry not wet.

I could care less what he claims the power is it better run faster that Evolution Performance's GT500 with the same mods and less power when they went low 11's. Sweet car reguardless. The drag strip tells all the info you need to know, period !!!

Exactly, the dyno is a tuning tool, not a dragstrip. Who cares who made 5 more hp than someone else. The strip is all that matters as a measure of a car's potential.

I picked up 30 RWHP on my NA '98 Cobra and went slower at the track back in 1999. Took the chip off and picked up the 2 tenths that went missing. I agree whole heartedly.

Stiegemeier's 2008 Shelby GT500

Here is the Graph:

16#s Boost

This graph is with 373 ring and pinion if comparing numbers for 330 ring and pinion add 15 RWHP and RWTQ - Equates to 610/610
Refer to the December article in 5.0 Mustang magazine on the difference between ring and pinion, I have also spoke with senior racers and they agree with the article from personal experience.

Yesterday Kent brought his 08 GT500 over from Louisiana. The car already had a 2.6 upper pulley, JLT intake, and tune.

In the interest of saving time, we assumed a setup like that, with the weather conditions were were having, and stock exhaust, would make about 535-540RWHP and similar RWTQ.

I went ahead and swapped the Innovators West 10% OD Balancer on, I put one of my tunes in the car, and ran it so we would have a baseline before installing the ported blower. It made 559RWHP and 598RWTQ. Notice the very large disparity between HP and TQ, at this point you can see how choked the stock blower is. A lower usually picks up around 25-30RWHP and 50RWTQ over an upper pulley only on a stock blower/stock TB.

I then swapped on a ported blower that Brian at Posi Performance did for us last week, I just sent him a spare blower that I had so Kent would not have any down time. When I sent him the blower I also sent one of the new high-flow inlet elbows to him so it could be port matched to the blower.

A couple hours later we were up and running with the ported blower, high flow elbow, and 67mm throttle body. After dialing in the tune, the car made 608RWHP and 609RWTQ, the stock blower was no longer choked off at higher RPM and once again making a square HP and TQ number!

I was pretty happy with the results considering the car had stock manifolds, cats, and mufflers. From experience I know this car has more exhaust back pressure than intake boost pressure, due to the factory cats. This car would drop about 1psi on the manifold boost readings with stock cats removed, as they are very high right now for a stock blower with upper and lower. It would easily pick up another 10-20rwhp with better cats, and possibly a little more with LTs, I'm trying to convince Kent to do that next . These types of numbers from a stock blower start to rival an out of the box TVS setup.
