from what i hear on youtube of the 5gt's and kr's i am leaning towards the kr's since they have what seems to me as a somewhat unique sound and the 5gt's sound like the average "mustang". However i'm wanting the loud and obnoxious axle back out there, so tell me folks would the 5gt's be the one i'm looking for or just get the kr's and an o/r h or x pipe?
If you want loud & obnoxious, get the 5GTs with headers and an o/r h. You will scare weak men, women, children and animals when you drive by them.

Just purchased the PHP h-pipe yesterday. As soon as that ships we will weld in the 2.5" pipe behind the cats. So I will be reducing the 3" pipe behind the Kook LT cats. Should lower the tone I hope and give it a deeper sound and not so high pitched

I just ordered the 5gt axleback today from latemodelrestoration and hope i made a good choice. Btw, LMR now has a set of 22 inch torque thrust wheels for sale on there with some pics on a car. I must say that they don't look bad for as big as they are. Could use some wider tires though.

How much for the h" Do you have to weld it in place or is that your preference?

i have to agree the KR tips on your car cobra1718, they stick out too far, i also thing the bigger tips from your 5GT's look better jmho
well wednesday took to the muffler shop and managed to push the tips in about 1.5- 2 inches so it looks better. I am goint to try the hpipe and see how it goes if I dont like it I dont think I will have any problem getting rid of the KR's by selling or trading
I think the GT500KR sounds kinda raspy when reved up. I was a little shocked at how high pitched it was. Great idle sound and I did like it but was surprised. Made my Stock exhaust with (quiet) magnaflow sound lame when challenged to a sound off that I had no getting out of.
Tips on those whatever SGTs FRPP muffs are the best looking of all.
