There's got to be some GT500s in FL/S.FL that will represent. I don't see a single one on the list and no cage required.

I'd be scared of getting smoked by #12.

They need a 1 miler in the Midwest. A bit of a drive for me.

Agreed on the midwest event, it would be nice and the weather would be better for sure.

Too bad Maxton/NC are anal about cages, etc. That turns off just about everyone that's not running a dedicated race car.

Got an email about this post, so I decided to visit.
I am one of the guys putting this together and I wanted to extend this offer out this website.

The first 10 guys who do the following can get a discount of $50.00 from the $150.00 posted on the site. What they need to do is post their first name and the first initial of their last name in this post along with the car and any mods it has as well. Shoot that same info along with a link to this thread to Run@MileMarker-1.com. That person will get an invoice of $100.00 sent back to them. The email will come from MileMarkerOne@Gmail.com, but don't send the email to that account. Just send it to Run@MileMarker-1.com

This offer will stand only through Monday and only for the first 10 guys who actually pay.

Looking forward to seeing some mean Mustangs out there. GM HIGH TECH PERFORMANCE will be doing an article on the event. I haven't got a chance to post them up on the GM forums, but I think that could fill up the roster of cars. We are capping it at 130 cars, because we want to ensure everyone has more then plenty of runs.

Also at this point we are allowing passengers 21 and over to ride with the drivers of cars. There will be some bikes, so I wanted to make that clear that it is for cars. The cost will be 20 for that at the gate. The passenger should already know who he/she is riding with and he will be signing a waiver.

Bring out the MUSTANGS guys!

Just a word to all of those going to this event. In some instances your tuner might have installed a speed limiter in the tune. So if you're limited at 170 MPH that's all you are going to do. You might need a simple tune revision emailed to you that lifts your maximum speed to 250 MPH. I don't think anybody with a GT500 will get even remotely close to that MPH but if you raise it up you'll be in good shape and eliminate a potential issue at the track.

Trust me when I tell you that we've seen it happen before.

The event will allow spectators to get a better view. Timing will be recorder by TAG HEUER equipment. Had some issues at our first event simply for the fact that 20 workers to control the 1500 plus people walking and driving around was next to impossible.

More staff to help control the crowd. Tentative date is Jan 17th. Will have that confirmed by next week.
