No, it wasnt a Zo6 either. I tried to talk sense into the owner (ex boss, hopefully future boss as well) but he had his heart set on this particular automatic C5 with a ZO6 asking price. Oh well.

Polished tips and "Vette Plate":
these were horribly oxidized and dirty. the plate was in his trunk, he says it fell off one day. I polished the piss out of it and stuck it back on for him. He was ecstatic to say the least.

I think that's it.
Very nice detail, went pretty smooth until I read jacking of the car needed special "jacking point pucks" so i did a little research and found i can make some myself. His finish wasnt too badly swirled, so it didnt need nearly as much work/passes as other cars ive worked on, so that was a big plus. Front end was littered with bug guts and whatnot since its a mostly freeway car (if it sees daylight, itll see a freeway). He said he tried everything, bug/tar remover, etc. Claybar made short work of it, and what it didnt, the Compound finished the job.
Wheels has waterspots and slight oxidation of the chrome, the inside of the wheel is severely pitting and chrome peeling in most places. I was able to bring the faces back up to par though.
I took the car saturday around 4pm ish, and worked on it until around 1am, then started again sunday morning around 2pm, was finished at 9pm but the owner said hed pick it up monday. Sweet, that gave me time to pull the wheels and hit up the wheel wells and inner rim (initially i had just polished the faces of the rims) as well as build my C5/C6 jacking pucks, and do a few other things that annoyed me (cracks/crevices) that i usually cant get to due to time constraints. He picked it up 8pm monday night and was blown away.
Another satisfied customer!
