Leaf Blower here as well. I bought one at Lowes for like $29 and it makes it sooo much easier. I use it to take the majority of the water off and then towel down. Then I go back over with a spray detailer.
The leaf blower really helps with cleaning the wifes Expedition!
I drive the car around for 2-3 minutes after I wash it, then get the rest with a microfiber. I always use a quick detailer after a wash anyways so any dirt that might get kicked up during the drive gets cleaned again anyways.
I have used all of the above methods of drying. I now use a water blade and finish with microfiber towels. I have a black car and I have never had the water blade scratch my car.
El cheapo water filtration (Mr. Clean autodry filter) and a drive around the block. 9 times out of 10, works great, and if any water is left, I use a microfiber.

coupon code: Autopia if you are going to buy from there...ive had great service from them, i always wait when they do sales and it comes out being pretty reasonable.
I rinse it down with the mr clean filter thing (i actually use meguiars car shampoo in it) and then blow dry it with my leaf blower, it works pretty well on both of our cars.
I tried the electric leaf blower thing over the weekend, then went over it with microfiber to get rid of any water spots it left behind. its never looked better

Any of you guys tried this type of blower for your car? I've seen commerical's and read some reviews but never really got feedback on it. Autogeek sells it, and they come in a variety of sizes. What do you think?
Use the waterblade on glass, roof and other big areas. Then use the absorber in one hand followed by a MF in the other. No swirls here. Key is to make sure the car is very clean and has plenty of wax on it.
just tried out the blower method, ****ing awesome.
how are you guys doing it? working from front to back, or top to bottom?

Mr Clean Auto Dry!!! No water spots...EVER. At least when I use it... my friends have had different results. I have a black car and I love using that thing.

yea i usually dry the windows off first so the towel is damp then i work on the body.. but i need a new washing method. as i am unhappy with the spider scratches and minor swirl marks.

Top to bottom. Example, roof to the windows but ALL windows then down to the body panels. On a mid sized car, it should take about 10-15 minutes. If you keep the quick detail spray on and it beads real well, cut a few minutes off. But I always see a couple of runs or water spots left so I go back. Its time consuming but its prob one of the best ways to do it and avoids putting anything on the car.
