Spent the afternoon and evening detailing a CLS55.
The car was in decent shape but had a lot of tire and rail dust in the paint. Took a while to claybar everything out of the paint. I finished the car so I didn't get any good pictures.
Megs foam gun wash
Megs hand wash
Degreased the wheels/tires
Clay
White w/Men106
Gray w/Men106
Blue w/Wolfgang seal
Complete interior detail as well.

Very clean, nice job! Any before pics? How can you tell it was rail dust though? lol
I'm wanting to get into detailing, and I was curious as to why you use the same polish with a rougher pad, then a less agressive pad. I thought you'd want to use a light/moderate polish with a slightly aggressive pad, then a light/finish polish with a finer pad? I guess it's all about what you try and find works best for you?
Thanks!

I didn't get any before pictures. White pad will cut a little where as a gray will hardly cut and polish/jewel paint a bit more than a white pad. I usuado 106 followed by 85rd.
Blk91stang, I did do the epoxy in the garage. Went to Lowes and grabbed a couple gallons of the quickrete epoxy kits, $70 a gallon. I wanted to do a light coat on the garage for the winter until I can figure out what I would like to do.
fantastic job! Car looks great! One of my neighbors had the CLS63, but traded for the SL65., what a beast it is.
They are fantastic cars... very fun with the brute twinscrew TQ they put down. I had an 05 E55 AMG and loved it... matter of fact, had I been a little older, I think I would have kept it and not picked up a Porsche.
car looks great. btw, you must really like to play darts

Haha, thanks! If I have any kids, no one has contacted me yet letting me know.
