stainless that is blue

Can the blue be polished out of exhaust pipes. I am looking at a stainless exhaust and the guy says that the pipes have a blue tint from the heat.

Use a Green ScotchBrite and Cameo stainless sink cleaner (Grocery store, cleaning aisle).

Barkeeper's Friend will also work.

Wet the Scotchbrite, apply powder, scrub pipe. Should come back to the 'raw schedule' satin silver. It takes a little while, but it can be done.

304 recovers the best, 409 sometimes doesn't fully recover but often can be improved.
