What an incredible write up. I would love to drive that car. I love the stick...but a good auto would be about as fast and a lot easier in traffic. My question is after the plug swap for the EEC interface, are there any code issues? Have you actually driven the car and checked for any codes that don't light the SES light?

As someone who has done a lot of weird conversions on computer controlled cars, my hat is off to you. Congratulations on a job well done. You are a true car crafter!

I have Autotap, and I am continuously connected to the car for datalogging. There are no code issues as long as the wiring harness instructions are followed.

I did my conversion with the Bauminator stand alone computer. The best mod I ever did. I went from running 11.20's @ 125 to running a best at the Buick/ Ford Shoot out last week of 10.705 @ 127.08. In almost the same weather conditions.

Would it be worth the time to swap my Cobra 6spd with a Mach1 Auto? I realize that I would have to upgrade the Mach1 auto. But as far as parts needed for the conversion, is it worthwhile? The reason I ask is because I know a Mach1 owner that is willing to do the swap with me if its a viable solution. I love my Cobra to death, but with my bad shoulders (4 operations), I get tired of using the stick. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe the conversion parts shown above are specific to the trannie you are wanting to swap, so you're good to go. Just purchase the parts listed above and voilla.

Oh, and check to see which parts he already has that are on the list.

Thanks for the reply. I wanted to see if someone had an idea of how many of those parts might be available to me from the Mach1. I am trying to asses whether its worth using the Mach1 for the swap or not. Also, do I need a TCS to make this all work? Thx.

Yeah this thread is kinda vague about getting 700 RWHP out of a certain trannie. What's the Mach I A/T rated at anyway? Or is this a racing trannie he's talking about?

This thread is for putting any 4R70W tranny in your terminator. The Lentech tranny I installed has the same case as the Mach 1 tranny. My tranny is good to 1000hp, lifetime warranty.

All 2002+ 4R70W have the latest and greatest components (sun gear, diode blah blah). If you want to put it in your car, it will work fine. I am curious to see how the automatic valvebody would respond to a 03 cobra computer though. He he...

Your best bet would be to swap everything, use my wiring harness instructions, buy a good aftermarket converter, manual valve body, and keep the car at 500 hp or less.
