New 2005 300C SRT-8. He brought the doughnuts, so he was first in line! His car is bone-stock and made a whopping 367.2 RWHP and 353.9 RWTQ - or roughly 459 flywheel horsepower!

or 440 hp with a 20 percent drive train loss for being an automatic... (ive seen a lot of autos lose about 20 percent, so I just used 20 percent).. Also, it might be even more since those are 20 inch wheels...

Doesn't matter, all that matters is that WHP because that's what you are getting to use.

Yep, 426 Hemi. COmplete with orange-painted engine block and black valve covers. Not too shabby

Actually, that's about 459 flywheel horsepower exactly. Automatic transmission equals roughly 20% driveline loss. The correct way to figure ANY dyno estimate is to DIVIDE the rear wheel horsepower to come up with the flywheel horsepower using the "opposite" (sorry, not a math major) number from the expected loss. Example:

Expected driveline loss on an automatic: 20% or .20
Flywheel horsepower then equals RWHP divided by .80

So if a Mustang is making 300 horsepower at the rear wheels in an automatic (20% driveline loss), it would look like this:

300 / .80 = 375 HP at the crank

Don't believe it? Then take 375 x 20% (75) and subtract it = 300.

Thus 367.2 / .80 = 459.0 (and 459 x 20% = 91.8; 459 - 91.8 = 367.2)

If your average 5-speed loses 15% on a rear-wheel-drive car, then you would divide the RWHP/RWTQ by .85

And don't take it from me: This came straight from the guys that dyno'ed the SRT-8 pictured above - and they are a MUSTANG tuner. Our thanks to Doug Levin Motorsports for sponsoring this dyno - even the SRT-8 came away with a trophy! To show you that I am not meaning to give you a hard time, here is the dyno chart for that same SRT-8. Glad you guys liked the picture I shot above, and have a good one...

BTW, the 6.1 liter Hemi is rated at 425 HP, so this was a nice surprise...
