Hey guys,

Just wondering how hard is it to switch my MM C/C plate spacers from the top of the plate to the bottom. This would fix my deadly bumpsteer problem (or at least it would correct it more). Can I do this in my garage by myself or do I need assistance or should I have it professional done?

Thanks

If you do it yourself I have a brand new tool kit that I'll make you a great deal on, never even used it.

Yea, I was thinking about it but was hoping that my C/C plates could fix it without more monies. I'm currently dealing with a blown head gasket on my DD acura and will have to wait a few months.

This is what you will need to do;

loosen the lug nuts
jack the car up and support it with stands under the frame rails
remove the front tires
jack the a-arm up to compress the strut
remove the upper strut to caster/camber bolt - you'll need a impact wrench
lower the jack and the strut should clear below the caster/camber plate, if not you will need to remove the lower strut bolt and the strut itself.
change the arrangement of the spacers
reassemble

You wil want to get the alignment checked out afterwards. The ride height and the amount of suspension travel will be affected by changing the spacers.

Well I'm glad you said that, I went out and measured. Theres a 2.25" difference and the spacer will only make up 1" difference. I guess i could get poly iso's up front ,switch the spacer and it would be about even.
