Hey guys, I weighed my car on a very accurate scale, that I know is correct.
My car weighs in at 3560LBS with half a tank of gas! (me not in it )
I know the IRS ads some wieht but come on??? I have and aluminum driveshaft, no spare tire,no junk ect in the car. Why so heavy?? The IRS is only supposed to ad about 70LBS. I even have the little factory wheels on!

Mine weighted 3485. With a full tank of gas, spare tire and jack and me (+225) in the car,
no AC (-35) no bumper supports (-40). light weight rims with a saving of about (-90), no tail pipes and light weight mufflers. The scales I was on were accurate. They were 4 wheel scales.
Thats 210 in weight savings for me. That would make my car 3470 with out me in it it you added these on. I'm trying to think of another 90 pounds that was taken out but i just can't come up with it. OH the dog bone! but I assume yours is gone too. if not that a little more.

When I get crazy and want to go as fast as possible the car weights right around 3265-3280 with me in it. 1/4 tank of gas, no front passenger seat, no spare or jack, no mach 460 rear deck, no rear seat.

My car has IRS as well and while I have the motor out to get built I am gonna be doing all the weight saving mods I can. Trunk is bare already, but i will be removing the amp and subwoofer. Removing bumper supports, washer fluid tank, pump and lines, Lightweight seats (lighter at least) rear seat delete and etc. It sucks these cars are pigs. If you could ever get one down below 3000 they would be extremely nasty but there would be some extensive modifying. CF body panles, no interior, basically a car that wouldn't be pleasant on the street.

I'm at 3375 without me, 3600 with me in it. This is with spare removed, 1/2 tank gas. I weigh 225.

Only thing that adds weight to my car is the N20 kit and me.

Doesn't the IRS add more than 70lbs? I know when we swap from IRS to solid we lose about 120 lbs.

you have to account that you have an 04 cobra motor swap.. that's a blower, plus the iron block unless u used the aluminum one. also the Kmember and control arms drop weight true, but the tq arm and panhard bar don't help for the weight factor.. also if you have a 6spd that weighs more too.

Yea the Cobra Motor added about 200 lbs plus with all of the plumbing I guess.... I didn't think about the T56 but that would add too. I think I am still lighter than many Terminator coupes, one post here said 3760 with full tank for an 03. Guess I am about where it should be....
