Stiegemeier's Lightweight Rotors

Stiegemeier’s New Lightweight Rotor Option For Eaton Superchargers!

These lightweight OEM rotors have the rotating mass reduced by 50% to increase acceleration and allow for extreme rotor speeds and unheard of reliable boost levels.

Call for further details and availability coming soon. Installation of a new boring center is underway to help reduce cost. Pricing to be set shortly after completion of this new boring center.

Stiegemeier Porting Services

Leading the way in Eaton performance porting and upgrades.

Thanks,
Robert Stiegemeier

so how does this help since the supercharger is belt driven and the rotors rpm are controlled by the crank revolution?

Can you think of a scenario where less rotating mass is anything other than an improvement?

Beside a flywheel in some applications I can't.

Less rotating mass is always a WIN IMHO!

A very promising development indeed!

F = M * a

IMHO, any increase in peak hp will be due to less energy consumed by the supercharger.

The amount of air the s/c can move will not change. Being lighter it is safer to spin the rotors faster but since most of us are already spinning them well outside their efficiency range, not sure there is more to be gained with spinning even faster.

Looking forward to more info.

is there a comparison between an oem rotor and these on a dyno? that would help a lot!

If its a 50% Reduction in mass do you have the weight removed measured? And how much does these Rotors weigh vs Stock. I'm curious.

I'd also like to see some DYNO Numbers please.

I'm guessing they weigh half as much hence the 50% weight reduction

You can run the smallest pulley without worrying about your blower blowing up. Less weight means you can spin them a lot fast for a shit ton of boost

A shit ton of boost on an Eaton is going to be little gain and a whole lot of heat generated.

Why? What is the difference in the Eaton/ Whipple/KB in this aspect. Why does the eaton generate more heat?

The Eaton is waaaaaaay less efficient at moving air and can only move so much, so going above what the Eaton can do isn't going to help at all. And being less efficient at moving air generates heat along with pressure generating heat as well. The main benefit of this mod is going to be less rotating mass which will help in allowing the motor rev up faster therefor giving you more power sooner

It might not be much on it's own but I'm sure if you add it to all the other rotating pieces that you can lighten up, i.e. flywheel, driveshaft, and everything else, it will surely add up and make a difference

The Eaton is a Roots style blower, where the air is compressed by the blades against the walls of the blower housing.

The Whipple/KB are Twin Screw blowers, where the air is compressed between the blades instead of against the housing. More efficient, less heat generated.
