with 10lbs there over 500 to the wheels. Have you looked under his hood? There is no way that a stock 6.1 hemi charger will ever beat a Cobra. There heavy and like one member on here said they have 20 inch tires. When I had a bone stock Mach 1 the charger beat me by a half. 305 vs 425.

No, I didn't even bother looking under his hood, but I think I could still take him s/c or not..but the only way to find out is taking it to the track..

LOL..I tried convincing him that the terminator would be the best bang for his buck but he didn't listen to me and thought that just because his Charger is a limited edition car, that it is somehow, someway better..too bad, I think he could have got a real nice powerfull car for about the same or less $$$.
P.S. 10 to 20 years from now I predict no one will care about the charger..10 to 20 years from now people will still be trying to find a terminator to mod and thrash on..JMO

First, do you have a DR tires? you could easily run a low 12's with a shitty street tires. with a 555r's DR you could run a high 11's. with mickey or hoosier. u could run under the mid 11's. these monters traps 120 with a pulley. 120 - 123 mph with a ported blower.
u should beat him a stock cobra beat him. just like Posi said just don't break the 1/2 shafts & don't miss a gear. they run 13.6 @ 105.8 @ the quarter mile. if u didn't beat him. i will come down & take your car out of your hand!
You will beat him by A LOT....but only as long as you don't have rediculous wheel hop that makes you get out of it.

Plus, those cars are dogs off the line anyways because of the fly-by-wire. you hit the gas, it thinks....then it takes off...
I rode in a friends 08 Challenger. Has the big HEMI in it and an automatic and he ran 13.50's. Said the tires wouldn't even spin at the track. Another guy had one at the track that day with a CAI and tune and ran 13.0.

Bro u can see what mods i have on my cobra and i'm always picking on srt8 chargers and even the new challenger srt 8 with and without exhaust. From 2nd or 3rd gear around 50mph you just simply walk away. It always puts a smile on my face. From a dead stop the challenger srt 8 will stick with u until 3rd gear then its all over

And I raced a new C6 vette on WW back in 2006 in my 96 Cobra which makes less power than the 03-04's and I took him easily. It was awesome. He had his spikey hair, big fancy watch, cocky look etc....when I walked away in 2nd gear.

My buddy had a SRT8 300 and when I raced him he honestly thought there was something wrong with his car because he got beat so bad! until I took him in my car, Then he realized his car was just that slow.

HAHA...yeah, no bling for me. I wear some jeans, and a T-shirt and say hi to everyone. I don't act better than the next guy. I love racing the guys with big money out there in the exotics too. On Saturday, a guy in a G37S picked on me and learned quickly and easily that Ford makes a more powerful car than his Infiniti.

I'm trying to set this up..He's never been in my car and has just seen it parked in my driveway. He's owned several cars and trades them every year for something different..He actually had an older vette which was nice, a 1970 mach I which I almost bought off him. Its kind of odd because he never talked smack when he had the vette or the mach and at that time I owned a 03 Saleen S/C which was not very fast compared to the Cobra. All of a sudden he gets the Super Bee and he's talking about how he will own me on the streets. Again, I'm going to try to set something up this weekend and video tape it so I can post it. I was kind of worried about the wheel hop from the jump but I'll probably not hit the jump that hard since I don't think he's going to be that fast anyway. Also, I have BF Goodrich Drag Radials and if I race him on the street I'm worried about some serious wheel hop, so I'm trying to take this to the track.
P.S. He's driving an automatic and said "how can you shift faster than the car" this is another reason he thinks he will beat me..LOL

With BFG DR's you won't have any problems hooking on the street or the track. You won't even need to launch the car hard at all. lol Just ease out of the hole and watch him fade away in your rearview mirror. It baffles me how people do no research on cars at all and think they're just gonna rape everything else out on the road, while being completely ignorant about the power or potential of other cars. He could be hiding a 150 shot on his car, and you will still drive away from him if you can even half way drive. Please get this race on video. And get his reaction on video as well, please. lol
