I usually cant plant in 2nd. But i have crappy tires. Maybe with drag radials that will change.

i dont know why anyone would roll out in 3rd. it only revs to 90 and 2nd revs to 80 and there is a world of difference in the two gears. i feel like 4th pulls harder than 3rd once you are in that range. i'll go as low as 30 and still roll in 2nd. but thats just cause of traction and crappy tires. i do prefer digs. but you can just stop on the interstate to race some one. people dont like that

imo running 4th, 5th gear on high boost you are asking to hurt something if you are not running good fuel or torco. Real men race from a dig, please do not say you cant hook. Racing is not about bolting parts on, it is about making mods work in conjuction with suspension and then learning your machine and letting it rip.

Prefer a dig. I never had raced at a track so i always race on street tires. But if it was from a roll I think 2nd gear really hits hard.

I got busted several years ago so usually turn a race down, but have gotten into a few with my Cobra when pushed hard enough, and in the right area. It depends on the tempature, tires I'm running, and speed we're going from. A 40 MPH roll in second, on a warm day is nice with the Falkens I'm running right now. I can dead hook second there usually in warm weather with them. If its below 60 degree's my car will break third no problem.

I think second goes to about 75, and shifting from 3rd to 4th at redline you will be doing over 100 once you release the clutch in 4th.

I personnaly feel that 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are all great gears in a Terminator.

for me, 2nd about 40.. but as for this post, good fuel or Torco has nothing to do with high boost in 5th or 6th gear.. it's the piston expansion that comes from the incredibly high igntion temperatures that is what messes up our engines..

I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

+65,000 street racing is for idiots and morons with no track talent. we can only hope that they will ALL kill themselves eventually.

OP this is the wrong damn forum. Street racing for dummies should be in road kill not here.

I used to do 1st gear 40 rolls in my Mach lol. I was only in 1st for mayybe half a second or so then shifted it in 2nd(no clutch). It was usually good for pulling an instant car or so, and I was on drag radials so it actually hooked it. Over time it did eventually kill the 3650 though..

Yes and no. It depends if you can HOOK it. Ive seen 350rwhp cars have spinning issues in 2nd, and 600whp cars that can plant it and move out.

+1. With stock gears a 45-50 slam is perfect and you dont have to slow down traffic that much to make it happen.

I've had races setup with bike escort and you'd be surprised how fast you can shut a freeway down for a dig race. Looking back that wasnt so smart but what can ya do.

+1 on vettes, supras, and well built imports like going from 60-70. 3rd @ 70 on the interstate but then your only going through two gears. I ran into a built gsr integra on 15psi that swore he could take me from a 70 roll. He wasnt happy! He got more mad the 2nd run when he upped the boost and still lost. On more secluded roads a dig or 2nd @ 50 with my 3.73's. My peak tq is at 3700 with 2.76/4lb heaton.
