I have the Mac Durablack Kit with the polished Stainless Tips, All you have to do is use a wet rag to clean the pipes, I've had it on my car for 3 years and it still looks brand new with that high temp coating.. The sound of the chambered Muffs with the O/R H is Quite pleasant!! I've heard they discontinued this Kit but I'm sure you could find it somewhere?? I don't have a vid handy of it idling but here's me driving it on a engine breakin Dyno Run.. sorry about the crappy sound it's just my digital camera on record!
I have had both and you cant go wrong with Mac its an awesome sounding catback. Heres a vid of my old car,It had a Bassani o/r x. Its not the best vid (Wife was driving and i was chasing her with the Hyundai, lol) but its all i have.
Current Comp Orange: (Eaton) 10.80 @ 128mph, 3.31 gears and 28" tall tires. Stage 3 port and 2.76 upper only. Solid axle
Turbo: 723rwhp/689rwtq, 22# mustang dyno. track times to come
I agree to an extent, the ball and socket fittings come together well but my right tailpipe does rest close to the gas tank cover, it's a minor issue at most!
+1 Bassani is much better. Besides MAC makes the cheapest crap on the market. Their produts rust within 6 months. Pay shit, get shit IMO...
NOT their Durablack Catback KIT, going on 3 years still looks brand new!
Same goes for their Aluminized O/R H, still looks new, so not sure what your talking about?? I also had Mac Equal length shorties on my 89 GT for 16 years and they still looked fine?? Both Borla and Bassani are Way Overpriced for what you get!

There's a few people that I know of that have had major problems with certain tires and wheels that would normally fit on other cobras, not fit on theirs because of the mac exhaust. Hell, two of them couldn't get your regular 10.5 wide 03 replicas with 315 nittos to fit without rubbing the exhaust. Maybe it was just them but I think the build quality of the mac exhaust systems (on the 03/04 Cobra) that I've seen is rather shotty.
I've run Mac longtubes, Prochamber and 3" catback on my car for 6 years without issue.
Your's is one of the cleanest Mac setups I've seen, and I wouldn't expect anything less from your car. Do you know if they changed their design at all over the years? Because I swear some of my friends and I have been through hell with Mac catbacks. fwiw, their headers and mid-pipes are awesome!
