oh, so our cars traps 121+mph on a 1/4 mile and when we do roll race, it will run like 115mph car because of our aerodynamics and a z06 traps 115mph will run like 125mph car because of its aerodynamics? man, you need to get some sleep, you dont give us a chance to own you because you are doing it yourself.

I've seen many reports of 11.9s from stock '02-'04 Z's...in and around the 116-119 mph range. However, that is NOT the norm....mid to low 12s can be expected around 115-117 mph with a good driver bare bone stock on street tires.

I've owned both cars....my '04 Cobra (convertible granted) was pullied and made 454/460 on a Mustang Dyno....my '02 Z is totally stock with the exception of an intake and NO tune.....I honestly think that the race would have been a close one! However, in this particular instance, probably because my '04 Cobra was a vert and therefore heavier, I think the Z might have nosed it.
However, all things being equal....your average pullied, exhaust, intake and tuned coupe '03/'04 Cobra vs. a totally stock '01-'02 Z, even on a roll out race, the Cobra should slowly but continuously pull away...I don't think the Cobra will stomp a mud hole in the Z, but it oughta pull out a convincing win....

I ran one 3 times from about a 40-120...ouch for him. He was trying to show off for his girl. My buddy with a b18 gsr swapped civic with a 75 shot of juice was a good race for him though, but the honda pulled it out. The c5z wasnt slow but i put 2 cars on him. The civic had him by maybe a fender.

lol, vette sure has better aero but you are really making it look like at 120mph cobra will slow down like it hits a wall and jesus will push the vette harder. it doesn't work that way kiddo. when i raced a 390-400rwhp cammed c5 vette, i was only like half car away from them around 90mph and then i started to pull and put 2 cars on him by the time we hit 140mph and even at those speeds he was not coming at me, I am sure he would if i would have shifted to 5th but point was proven. your Z will get owned and i am willing put cash on the line for the right car (I need to know the member here) sure if you got balls...

I would say for a cobra owner I'm average to better than average driver but not spectacular. My car had a lot left in it but I drove it like a bitch. I will go out next weekend try to find some stocks Zs.
Fastest upper only pullied cobra was 10.89 I believe. Ask Almo.

it wasn't a z06. it was a cammed LS1 c5 vette. he is my buddy, we live in the same neighborhood and cruise together all the time. he has elec. waterpump, LS2 intake, z06 catback, cold air intake, crank pulley, one of those silent cams, tune. (no headers and i know if he had headers i would be in trouble) and he gets beat by me everytime we race. he is not on this site and i can call him to register and talk about it but it won't make a difference since we don't have a video and this tool will still say "IN MY EXPERIENCE...."
and yeah, cobra won't put a bus on a stock Z but it will put a decent 2 cars. I have done it and track numbers just don't lie. compare them. but hey, wait a minute! damn it! I forgot about aerodynamics...

about his driving skills, I bet he can drive better than you. he powershifts all gears with his stock shifter on his vette and hits them pretty damn good. i know who is good who is a bad driver when i ride with them and this dude is not a bad driver!
