If my memory serves me correctly it's effecient to around 22 PSI, but then you get into race gas being required at that level. I'm thinking 18+ PSI creeps into the race gas area on stock compression motors.

17 is what KB says is max on Pump blower made 575RWHP in Colorado at 17# on pump
