I have a customer who ordered this to have as an extra for his '14 GT500. He also has a '67 GT500 that he bought brand new, and at that time bought a new 427 crate engine for it as well. Anyway, pretty cool to see a $26k crate engine.

This is exactly as it comes from Ford.

Sam, can you snap a shot of the balancer bolt head/washer? Just curious if there were been any running changes there...

And can you see a production date?

Wow. That would be kinda nice. Experiment/beat the piss outta one, and if it gives up, pop in a fresh one! Thing is sexy.

The crank bolt/washer appear to be the same as they've always been, with a big glob of silicone under it. The production date is 04-22-13.

Thanks Sam. The shot of the balancer washer helps.:)

And the production date for that engine....interesting. Assuming that Ford moves the oldest inventory first and in the context of the 2014 MY production in 2013, I have a strong sense that Ford doesn't sell too many of these assemblies.:-D

I wonder if it would be a good idea to put that one in and save the original for a later (40 years) date...or do matching numbers not matter on these cars?
