When every last detail counts on your engine the new MMR spacers are for you!The new MMR Cam spacers are made from 6061 T-6 Aluminum and are RED hard anodized for strength, these cam spacers reduce important rotating weight by over 80% compared to the stock spacer but still retain the strength of the heavy factory spacers. They can be installed while the engine is in the car with simple hand tools and dyno testing has proven to add Quicker engine revving and response and HP by reducing parasitic drag/weight, they are also great for offsetting the weight of heavy aftermarket billet camshafts compared to the factory tubular/lighter cams. 2 Included per kit. Specify 2 V or 4V- As used in the MMR 3000 Horsepower racecars!

It is not easy to replace the cam spacers in the car and for most people would require some of the Ford cam tools. Also, your statement that the engine revs quicker and makes more power with these has to be one of the most ridiculous claims made, even by your (MMR) standards.

The 4V simply requires valve cover removal, loosen cam bolts, slide washer and spacer off and replace with new lightweight spacer. No tools are required to hold the cams, the chains never come off.

Cams rotate, anytime you can make ANY part that rotates lighter it is beneficial in a engine, just like an aluminum flywheel, lighter crankshaft etc. While these differences may be small, they are differences, and those looking for every edge will benefit from them.

You will not see a noticeable power difference with those cam spacers. Hell, I've installed aluminum driveshafts and flywheels and not gained anything. The fact that you stated you saw a gain on the dyno by installing them is an outright lie.

As for the spacer, on the 2v it is behind the cam gear.

This is a 4V forum , not a 2V, we are well aware of where the part that we manufacture goes. The bottom line is if you didnt make any power with lighter driveshafts, flywheels or even this spacer no one is forcing you to purchase them, and while we certainly respect your opinion the fact is that that they are all lighter, and when racers and customers are searching for every possible advantage - this is it - the gram scale doesnt lie.

you say dyno proven, what numbers did you see and in what kind of application

The HP #'s were miniscule (1-2) but repeated every time on the engine dyno. The most noticeable increase was throttle response. This was found in a test completed back in 2005 when this product was released. Certainly not huge gains but again, when every HP counts and faster throttle response is on the agenda you cant go wrong.
