Going custom air to air, not going turbo as of now.. This should be one of the more radical street centri cars though. I will say that if I wanted to go turbo it wouldn't cost that much more at this point.. I might come out of pocket a couple grand after selling off the rest of the blower setup.. BUT like I said I'm riding out the JT-trim for now. Will make more than enough power.

The air to water setup was and is a great setup, but it wasn't going to work with my intake choice and changes that I made. Sadly.

Just wanted to bring this thread back up. As I am having the same issue as you with the same pistons on the same side of the engine being toasted on 3 to 4 builds. Did you end up buying a new ECU or did you have the injector drivers repaired? Also if you did either, has the car ran since or are you still in the middle of the build? I did not read all 19 pages lol

I just read your thread on Modfords..

I did I bought a stand alone Holley Dominator ECU.. I'm not ****ing risking another engine to the stupid Ford setups. Car hasn't ran.. It's been 3yrs in July.. Still in the middle of the build. Engine is in the car and we're working on the ECU install now..

BEST bet.. Buy a stand alone ECU.. Sadly after 3 blown engine, 2 being built I'm not chancing another one as I'm already done with this car and want to get out of the car game when I think to much about it.

Thought I'd give a update on this thread.. The engine is in..

Went to go and install the ECU and found out a ton of issues, and basically turned into a full restoration of the interior.. For those that don't know my car is salvaged.. Well the people that salvaged the car did a terrible job.. They basically epoxied the entire dash together.. Cut the airbags off, blacked out the airbag light and that was that.. So in with a nice 04 Cobra dash, still no air bags which is ok with me I didn't want them anyways. New carpet, because the old POS shop that installed my oil psi gauge didn't tighten it all the way and it was leaking oil everywhere.. So new carpet, new dash, etc. ECU is in.. Figured I'd give you guys a few pics.. because why not..

Car turned into a full on restoration though.. Nothing is ever easy. And now for the next 3yrs with all the deployments it'll see little use lol.. Jackstands in the garage.

I'm transferred to ship starting in July.. I'll be doing 3.5 month deployments.. So ya'll might not see much of me around.. New kid due any day now too.. Been busy Oh and I bought a house lol.

Yea it's been a busy last few years.. Crazy to think on like July 6th it'll be 3yrs since I last drove her lol

Needless to say you can only imagine what I would have done to the SOB that "salvaged" this car if something happened to Rachel or Brayden if I got in a car accident expecting airbags to deploy and they didn't.. I'd be going AWOL that's for starters.. Then going hunting.. Probably with you for the SOB..lol :beer:


Also after the deployments the car will be going back under for a full cage.. 8sec cert cage to make up for the lack of airbags.

Yea that's life with this car.. I won't be doing this type of thing again.. It'll get parted out if there is ever a next time.

Glad to see an update on this project and what let down about the unexpected. That engine shot is badass!

Thanks guys. It'll always be detuned.. Detuned it'll make in the 750-800rwhp range lol. that'll be around 12-14psi.
