While the factory ecu has some limitations, this trigger wheel has been proven to 10,000 rpm when used with aftermarket ECU's , so, its one of those items that are beneficial now and later down the road for those needing more than 8500 rpm, this part also produce a cleaner signal at lower rpm's meaning it is improved throughout.

Is this pulse ring billet steel? It certainly appears to be beautifully made! I am going to have my trans out soon to replace the clutch and was considering the Ford CJ pulse ring, but had heard that some may have gotten units with slightly bent teeth sending imprecise signals due to the stamped steel nature. Is the MMR unit stronger and less likely to have that occur? I would hate to have to pull the trans out again. Though I would love an 8000 + rpm redline, an extremely strong, clean signal up through 7500 rpm really the big priority as my car is street driven only. My Boss seems to fade now as it nears 7500 rpm.

Yes, the mmr part is precision machined from billet steel and does not suffer from any of the problems you mentioned that the Ford racing version does.
