Don't waste your money on watches. You have a cellphone that tells you time. Keep investing in Brass.

Yea, I hear you, but Rolex has been supporting racing since a long time ago. There is a new site called Bob's that gives fair bid/ask prices on collectible Rolex watches.

I've sold a few and bought a few:

I just bought my third Highway Patrolman:

I like collecting fine watches and revolvers. My cash flow is better and better since I sold the race car. ;)

Just saying, I swapped a 27-2 long barrel for this 27-2 3 1/2" .357 pinned barrel with perfect stocks.

I also sent a watch for a trade (+ my check) for an old Rolex Daytona. It should be here soon.

I am betting that the Fed will not increase interest rates to anything near what they should be. I also drove my 1995 Cobra R last weekend after giving it a good wash. It performed beautifully.

I sent the watch back. It was a fake. Every Rolex has a serial number on the lower outside where the watch band connects to the watch. It's like a Shelby as you need to check it twice.

Otherwise, I recently bought a Henry Big Boy Steel Carbine in .357 Magnum.

I bought it second hand in the GA market. It was made in Wisconsin. It will never increase in value, but it was less than a set of race tires and almost as much fun.

I heard that Hillary went down in flames?

I think the new 45th is:

It will finally end the 8-year reign of the worst president in the history of this fine Nation. I hear that he will retire to his hometown in Kenya?

Heck,
I've found a lot of rare guns with paperwork lately. All three of these revolvers are lettered by the factory and in 97% condition:

My total investment is around < 1% of my retirement account.

My recent purchase is a S&W 9 Shield. I got interested in the rebate and other discounts.

Great pistol!

I also bought a used holster for $50. [Pictures to follow when I get it]

just reconditioned the seats in my viper using the leatherique system and the results were outstanding. it worked as advertised and the seats look brand new. its not a quick cleaner that you just wipe on and off. it takes a few days to soak in and needs to be applied several times but the results are worth the wait. the seats now have the matte look leather is suppose to have.

Thanks,
My 1995 Cobra R has no theatherique seats.

Here are some some of my Fox body cars:

I guess that I am from the 1990's when lap times were more important that leather seats.

Yes, I got the holster for the Shield:

I am resurrecting this thread.

First: I say never try to get Weber carburetors to work well---It's still easier to do than understanding a woman---.

You have each side of a 3-barrel Weber:

I think I got it done. It's still a little rich but rich fuel is better than too lean....

I also like old American coins like Morgan silver dollars and old Twenty Dollar gold coins.

Went to the Mitty today at Road Atlanta. Been a couple of years.
No Cobra R's running. Mustang turnout was disappointing in general bit weather was awesome.

Yep, HSR sent them to a class (Group 10) with modern Porsche GT3 Cup cars. So, no one attends. ;)

The early Mustangs had a great turn-out. I counted 10 cars.

Did you see the #75 Boss 302 crash on the first lap of the International race? It was OK but the other car wasn't.

Sorry I missed you wandering around the pits.

Doc,
I would have loved to see you. I saw the 302 before and after the incident.
The vintage Mustangs were out especially the Cobra Automotive guys.

I agree. The Cobra Automotive guys have 289 engines and they are very fast:

BTW, I talked to the race mechanic today that worked on the #17 RSR that got pinned into the wall. It's destroyed. It broke the bellhousing which required loading it into the trailer after removing the rear axles. They have yet seen if the engine is good.

Here is it before:

It looks bad, and the owner is a great dude.

I also got wrecked to no fault of mine back in 2008. It's not if it will happen to you but when it will happen to you:

Old Mustang parts are easy to find and inexpensive to replace. The car went on to win a few Championships (same car new paint):
