Hello, I just wanted to give a update on the install of my Full Tilt Boogie Racing FT 1350M, FT 5001 and FT 1860 along with H&R Race Springs. Bruce from FTBR is installing everything (since I live 20 minutes from his shop)

Here is a link to the original thread: http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/suspension-modifications-211/919537-cobra-suspension-upgrades.html

Bruce called me this past week and said I could come in snap some pictures and see the progress of the install. I went into FTBR Saturday, March 23rd and Bruce spent about 45 minutes with me explaining everything that had been done. I could not be happier with the help that Bruce has given me. He has texted/called me to update status through the install process. The car will be done this week and I plan to pick up the car this weekend if the weather here in the Milwaukee area is nice.

While checking the progress out of the install, Bruce pointed out to me that I needed new rear pads and said he would turn my stock rotors and install new pads when he put the IRS back together. I had planned on doing a front and rear brake upgrade eventually, so after talking with Bruce about Brake options, I decided to buy Bruce's 13 inch rear brake upgrade kit and a 14 inch 4 piston Brembo kit for the front from Bruce. The 14 inch Brembo kit includes Brembo calipers and Bruces 2 piece FTBR rotors. The 13 inch kit also has the FTBR rotors. Bruce also is ordering up front and rear SS lines for the brakes.

Bruce is going to install the 13 inch rear upgrade while he puts the IRS together and he ordered me the front Brembo kit (which will arive in 2-3 weeks)

Bruce also looked over the front suspension of the car and made sure that everything was in good condition (and it was)

As I mentioned earlier, I could not be happier with the communication from Bruce and the overall level of customer service he has provided! Bruce did not just install the FTBR kit and get my car out the door; he took the time to look over the entire suspension and brakes to make sure that everything on the cobra was healthy and most importantly, safe for driving.

Here are some pics and I will post after I get the cobra back and drive it around to give a before and after comparison:

Very nice! I'm loving my IRS that I swapped into my Mach with Bruce's kit. It feels so incredible, especially going straight from an SRA to the IRS.

That brake setup is going to be freaking sweet!

Awesome! I have heard nothing but the best about Bruce's kit, so I am super excited to see what the difference is going to be!

I wish they sold more parts for our cars so I could buy more from him, because the quality and service from bruce is amazing. Looks nice!

I'm not picking up my car till the roads are better, salt gone. I have way too low of miles on my car to start driving it near any salt and zero rust under the car.

It's all set and ready to go. Just needs to be road tested.

Just so both of you know, your cars made the FTBR "Shop Tour" photo shoot we did last Saturday. Sorry, there were no cute, scantily clad girls here rubbing their butts on your paint. :( But the photos did turn out great. :-D Watch for them coming soon on our web site.

Looks great. I'd love to do this set up too. Bruce, what are you suggesting for the front end of the car after this is done to the rear? I am sure the stock bushings and set up isn't all that great when you have a lot of miles on the car. I am stock all around except for Kenny Brown springs for the 2003 coupe.

Well after the rear is done you will find that the suspension shortcoming is coming from the front.

When it comes to the front suspension on a Mustang I like to advise people to "Go big or go home". K-member, LCA's w/Delrin, CC plates, bumpsteer, rack bushings, C/O's, steering shaft, yadda, yadda, yadda.

    Bruce,
I am not planning to race the vehicle at all. So, I don't think doing the K-member is an option along with the C/O's. Unless there is a street K-member and LCA system that allows for my Kenny Brown springs and stock shocks. I did rack bushings already. I can see doing CC plates and possibly a steering shaft. So you would suggest changing out stock rubber bushings out for Delrin? Who makes that bushing kit?

    Thanks.

I think I have heard people say that Global West makes a front Delrin LCA kit.
