Ran my Auto conversion Cobra vert at the track.....
I purchased a 2003 10th ANV. Convertible with an Automatic conversion done to it back in Dec. I took it Steele Al. and ran it back in Jan. 6th for the first time and was I ever pleased. Mods include the Auto conversion w/PI converter, Metco 8lb lower along with supporting tensioners, Mach 1 automatic computer tuned with SCT X2, SCT mass air meter w/K&N filter, IRS brace, Polyurathane(sp?) bushings, Kenny Brown lowering springs, M/T ET street drag radials(275/40/17), other than what is listed it is Bone Stock. Car is a blast to drive as I have always been a fan of automatics, it has got a best of 19.5 mpg and a worst of 13mpg. This is my 3rd 03/04 Cobra and by far my most enjoyable only thing I hate is having to put a bolt in cage in it if I run any events (FFW,NMRA,NMCA,ect). I have seen people asking about auto conversions but nobody post real world data as far as MPG and drive ability, I'm here to tell it is awesome!!! Fun at the track to boot!! Can't wait to put more mods and get it faster.
Best pass:
60'ft: 1.58
1/8: 7.42@91
1/4: 11.65@115
PS. my 6 year old son took that pic and told me I had to post it!!! LOL.......

8lb Metco Lower pulley as stated above....
YES, Bone stock exhaust!!
My first pass was a 1.63, 7.54, 11.85@116 I thought ok maybe there was a problem with the lights I couldn't believe it. I was amazed myself can't wait to uncork it.
Awesome I always wanted to convert my 03 when I had it and leave the IRS in it as well. Most people swap to a solid at the same time but and auto IRS car will be lethal as you have just proven!

Thanks EVERYONE!!! The conversion was done to the car when I purchased it so I am not real sure on the size of the Converter but it will stall almost to 3000 if I get against it hard. I ran it last weekend at a local 1/8 mile track just to try to learn more about the car and learned that if I stall it up to approx. 2200 and flash the converter it does alot better than raising it up to 2800 or above. I will go thru some of the paperwork to see if I find some part numbers........
Thanks again,
Jeffrey

Not at all!! However I started with 18lb of air pressure for that reason because I had not ran the car before so I wanted to get comfortable before it started moving around. Then it cut a 1.63 with a terrible burnout so I thought I would try the same air pressure again with a decent burnout and it resulted in the 1.58 so I left it alone and went to the house!!! LOL...
anyone know the cost of converting over to an auto

I'm doing the swap right now on my twin turbo 03. A Lentech 4R70W with a manual valve body and a trans brake is about $3500. A PI triple disc converter is about $1,000. Then add all the sensors, wiring harness, crossmemeber, custom driveshaft, shifter, cooler, flexplate, dipstick, etc etc etc.. And you're getting up there over $6,000. I'm price shopping like a mofo and still it's going to cost me over $5k. But you can offset that somewhat by selling your T56 and related parts.

I will pull out receipts and break it down when I get time. The entire conversion was done by a Shop(that I will not mention due to bashing that takes place on mst websites) It was a bone stock car when it went in came out with the Auto conversion and Metco Lower kit with supporting hardware.
did you get any horsepower #'s/dyno runs with that 8lb lower only?
THANKS!!!
With the 8lb lower and a SCT Mass air meter it put down best I can remember was 395hp and 405TQ but I will try to find all the paperwork and correct as needed. This conversion was done before I ppurchased the car so I do plan to put a Cat-Back exhaust and a FIPK2 then have it dyno tuned by Intune Motorsports in Charleston TN which uses a MD-Mustang Dyno(reason I mentioned them is because they are a shop that I use and I can tell you about first hand where the other shop I have no ideal about.) Once I get it done I will post the numbers for anyone interested.
